Love your work. I like how you call personality traits 'superpowers'. I like think to think of these traits as 'brain bandwidth'. When I watch ESFPs lead with Se I I often think 'wow they have a huge amount of bandwidth for incoming sensory information. And same with ENFJs - huge amount of bandwidth for processing social cues. As an Introverted Intuitive, I have good internal bandwidth, but sometimes it feels like I have a dial up connection to the outside world lol

I love your channel immensely, Eric. It's a great service you do for the online community with these analyses. The sciences in all forms are some of the most important things in the world to me. There never can be enough answers for questions because there'll most likely be inquiring premises forever. As an INTJ nerdy guy (That's what I get typed as the most anyway. Sometimes, it's either INFJ or ISTJ depending on the contextual parameters, but I resonate with the INTJ more strongly) who seeks "perfectionism" in everything, I believe it's only becoming that Emma is an ENFJ. She's my favorite actress and literally is basically ideal with every category. Emma is very funny, intelligent and seems to actually be a genuinely caring person. And of course her looks anyway. As an INTJ, I found your points on her Ni quite interesting. I've gone through comparable periods. I wouldn't say that I had anxiety (because I've always been a very calm person by nature), but I was extremely prudent and vigilant. And interestingly enough, my concerns weren't really related to Fe as hers was (such as a fear of separation from others or a need to keep them safe), but rather to Te. I isolated myself to the degree that I could, and I became obsessed with maintaining the systems around and within me (because one such system was my own body). I will give an example: if I touched the wall in my room at one place, I needed to touch every part of the wall with a force and distribution equal to that of the initial contact point. Because I figured that the initial, miniscule inconsistency would otherwise become gradually amplified across time, decreasing the structural integrity of the wall in such a way that it would eventually result in its collapse, if not that of the entire building. It didn't matter to me whether the weaknesses that I was aiming to fix were actually comprehensible to the senses or not, and the same goes for the measures that I took in response. I was obsessed with the abractions of these systems that I had created in my own mind. Furthermore, this way of obsessively viewing a system like an infinitely linked chain can bring forth a need to utterly perfect each link (because as the saying goes, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link). I also rationalized it all as being part of preparing me for my greater vision. These are all tendencies that allow me to think, live and act in extraordinary ways, but it can certainly go too far if my focus is applied indiscriminately.

Interesting- I am an INFP and mine played out in an Fi way. If someone would touch one arm I would need the other arm to be touched too so they could feel equal and the same. The weight would be distributed- it was all driven my the feeling and sensation it gave me.

That's so interesting cause I'm also an INTJ and my anxiety definitely came from inferior Se, since my physical sense is easily overwhelmed. It got so bad that I didn't wanna deal with any kind of pressure from the external environment, I ended up isolating myself and focusing on daily tasks in order to find comfort in repetition. The worst part is that inferior Se also makes you wanna be there for the people you love, so making plans to hang out with friends is like a constant push and pull.

3:16 as an ENFP with ADD, I find the topic of textures and sensory surroundings to be interesting. You would assume that because I have inferior Si and demon Se that I'm not very aware of those things, but given my ADD it actually has a tendency to steal my focus very easily. Ever since I was little I couldn't stand uncomfortable clothes, and I opt for comfy hoodies and sweatpants most of the time. Since having ADD lowers my working memory, I need that "slot" to focus on the task at hand. People with ADHD/ADD really do not like being uncomfortable, and having a bad sensory environment, even though I am an Ne dom, still demands my attention affects my performance a lot. Most neurodivergent people (ADHD, autism, Asperger's, etc.) tend to have very strange and specific sensory preferences for things. For me it's things like: -I can't stand mushy food (wet eggs, overcooked oatmeal, boiled things in general) -Steamed vegetables are the bane of my existence -I use the tiniest spoons I can find -Random obsession with a sensory thing (food, song, texture, movie) that lasts 2 weeks and gets completely abandoned -Wanting foods that can be crispy to be as caramelized as possible (quesadillas, steaks, grilled vegetables, pizzas) -Hating it when my hair sticks to my neck while sleeping/wearing a sweater So I guess what I'm trying to say is that strong opinions of sensory things isn't always an indicator of a sensory function.

We are all human beings tied to our body, whether we like it or not, therefor we are all affected by our surroundings and environment. The perspective of Se in this video throws me off because like you I relate to what you are saying when it comes to the physical world around me. Things like this make me question my personality type all together. Then again it dosnt take much for me to start questioning things... pretty annoying and one of the reasons I've fallen away and have a slight disdain for mbti. Seems like everyone has a different take on things and ultimately it's not very objective. Hard to draw solid conclusions when wrenches and perspectives like these are thrown in to once again possibly consider.

I go to extremes to avoid interacting with people, in most situations. However, Ms. Stone is the type of person that could instantly drag me out of my shell, and make sure I’m included in whatever is going on. It’s beyond her celebrity, beyond her beauty, it’s that warmth and very welcoming personality. I feel when you’re around her, she will make you feel like your her center of attention. Her eyes alone, would probably make me a groveling idiot - but it would be so well worth it.

She really doesn't seem to like being spontaneous, chaos or jumping around with idea chaos with the eagerness or intensity you'd naturally see with an ENTP.

And it proves there are magical dynamics between INFP and ENFJ🥺 And lately I am kind of confused of Ti-Fe and Fi-Te.I always think I am INFP, but sort of self- contained/ awkward to express myself unlike the passionate Fi. I saw those analysis of the Japanese writer Osamu Dazai, who I supposed to be INFP, on Pdb website, turned out to be INTP or INFJ, and it makes sense. This writer was known for his half biographical novel, No Longer Human, in which there were tons of negative emotions and feelings, but he always tried to analyze all the feelings and rationalize them instead of expressing it of what it is, and that’s why he was typed as INTP or INFJ. That would be great if Eric could show us more examples of INFP mistyped as INTP or INTP mistyped as INFP:)

I know a few INFPs, myself included, who score 50/50 on the Feeling/Thinking scale. I kind of flip between feeling and thinking depending on the situation. But I've met true INTPs who are far less focused on how everyones feeling and communicate more directly and bluntly than feeling types. And yeah, I wish I had Fe like my ENFJ best friend. He's so good at people dynamics. I feel like I am very aware of social dynamics but lack the skills to navigate it smoothly haha

She’s nothing like Tom Holland but more like Emma Stone, as she’s so witty, goofy and kind, but in a more collected way. I just love how she interacts with me even I am just a shy, awkward INFP and just try to be funny in my own way🥺 Back to the Japanese writer topic, the way I doubt if I am INFP or INTP lies in how I process my feeling, do I express it straightforwardly without doubts or do I try to study it and find reasons? That Japanese writer’s work is full of bitter emotions and feelings, but the narrator seems to express them like they are coming from someone else’s, yes he observed those pain from a distance and just being numb, but they actually come from within. Fi users should not be surprised of their feelings, no matter it be good or bad, while Ti users might be questionable about their feelings(Ti) when those feelings are not seemingly appropriate (Fe).

She describes her speedy "associative" brain that wakes her up at night, she talks at Ne warp-speed, uses Ne improv to offload the intensity of her feeling (Fi?), and is plagued with the Ne animated facial expressions. Enfp's use Te to make lists, charts, & graphs, (presentations of information), and are guided by strong intuition and conviction. Ne/Fi is a recipe for the very type of anxiety she refers to. Enfp's use that very same (Ne) ham/goofiness to put others at ease (Fi). Just me??

The part about having to know about what happens in the future to me doesn't fit at all with her decision to do the nude part of sexual experimentation for "Poor Things" and being described as "raunchy, horny ad shameless" with respect to how it will be when there are clips of just that part all over the internet and kids at school say, "This is her mommy doing this.".

She seems so different from other FJs because she's not one. People mistake female ENTPs for FJs all the time. Fe in the 3rd slot makes for a very playful/child-like expression of the function. She uses Ne to automatically adapt to the other person and Fe to engage. It's a game, she doesn't take herself or others seriously. That's how you can tell them apart ;)

Great video as always! Your videos are the most simultaneously informative, insightful and entertaining typology-related videos that I've come across on KZbin. I was really intrigued by the part where she talks about being convinced that her friend's house was on fire. It reminds me of something similar that used to happen to me. When I was at university I used to live in a flat on I think the 5th floor of a block of flats. Every now and again I would be lying in bed and would suddenly be overcome by this feeling that the building was going to burn down. I think it had to do with the fact of being high up in the building so that I knew that if there was a fire I would be trapped. Sometimes the feeling would become so strong that I would become almost convinced that the building really was going to burn down, and I would just be lying there, frozen with terror. And every now and again I get random irrational presentiments of doom about really specific horrible things happening. Of late I've been of the opinion that I'm either INTP or INFP, but perhaps this indicates that I actually use Ni? I also relate a lot to the part about having a strong sense of purpose and a vision of what you want to achieve and become in the future. I'm not the kind of person who strategically plans things 50 steps ahead, but I am certainly grounded by knowing what I want to achieve with my life, in fact having one single overarching goal, and need to feel that I am constantly progressing towards realizing that goal. For that reason there have been quite long periods in which I have typed myself as an Ni-dom. Or can that sense of purpose come from Ti or Fi? I guess it's time to rethink my type for the two hundredth time haha.

Start with 16 personalities.com then after learning a little maybe go to Mistype Investigator’s test that’s a lot more in-depth and accurate! Ultimately you need to slowly learn it for yourself tho! :)
