Psychonaut that’s like saying if Einstein was on Benzos for a couple months then all of his work is meaningless. You need more than that to hurt a mans reputation. You’re just a hater and the fact that you are even watching a Jordan Peterson video confuses me
@VinnyTheory5 жыл бұрын
Psychonaut I’m not going to fight with you, I just feel bad for you that you consider yourself to be intellectual when you haven’t heard anything Jordan has ever said or know anything about him. By default all of your judgements are invalid. Once again, it is like never knowing any of Einstein’s work and attempting to spread word to people that do know his work that he is an idiot, which is laughable. I didnt compare the two because of their fields, I compared the two because they have the same level of genius. You would know this if you were 2 hours into one of Jordan’s lectures, but all you do is read headlines. I have nothing to prove to you, and the fact that you continue to try to take down Jordan’s reputation with the mere fact that he’s on prescribed drugs is hilarious haha. You’re such a snowflake liberal if you care about that. Have you ever seen the show House? He’s also a genius addicted to Vicodin and no one cares, all the viewers are absolutely in love with him. Why? Because he’s once again a genius and an amazing person. Drugs don’t reflect character, especially prescribed legal drugs. Einstein was a great scientist but was also well known for his knowledge of philosophy. Jordan’s an even greater philosopher, and both are genius’s. Although I’m wasting my time arguing with you, considering your opinion on Jordan is one that uneducated and unjustified, I’m not surprised because Jordan is the only person I will always stand for regardless. And honestly, I’m not even going to continue this discussion. If you want to hate or judge a person you know nothing about then fine, be an idiot, and if you want to actually provide a fair analysis then go watch Jordan’s actual lectures. Goodbye

Those with Conscientious personalities (those with admin ability) are only 25% of the population, and even though they are Task Oriented, they can still accomplish the wrong things. Further, when they start to succeed, they need people oriented skills to lead properly or they will begin to fail. So in reality, we all need someone of our opposite personality to be strong where we are week. Also, your def of "admin incompetence" is needed to make sure we're talking about the same thing. I am doubly Outgoing, with half part Task and half part People orientation. And I need positive accountability to make sure I stay on target and get the "right" work done-activity doesn't equal accomplishment. My bride is 97% opposite of who I am and is strong where I am weak and is a great accountability for me-as I am for her-in personal and business life. Knowing your personality, hire someone who is opposite to be who you cannot or will not be. Lead them well and get to the success you are looking for. Or bring in someone you highly respect who is willing, and let them be your positive accountability. In all cases, a good understanding of personality allows you to know why you do what you do and how to connect with your opposites (and even your similars) so you can build rapport and understanding to get to your definition of success. Press on!

How do you know if you are extroverted? I'm 26 and I still have no idea. I have no problem talking to people, I really enjoy it, but it also tries me out. I'm super motivated by people around me, but desperately need occasional alone time. Every personality test I take yields different results

Okay but for introverts who are creative, there is literally NOTHING that we can do in life. It is not monetizable. Industry is not looking for that.

@Gustavo Joris My friend is a 180kg big guy who sings falsetto. He sounds like a 12 year old girl. Sometimes the contrast is compelling and striking. Peterson speaks very articulately with big words and has great story telling artistry. His voice also sounds like Kermit the frog. This contrast, like my friend that sings (and makes a living from singing) is unique. It’s pretty cool too. It makes people unique and calling out the contrast is not being ‘unpleasant’. It has, in my observations, assisted in building the unique listening experience and his brand idiosyncrasies. Do you disagree? As someone well versed enthusiast of mythology, allegory and parable, Peterson certainly knows the potential power of an invisible dangerous entity just like ‘satan’ in Christianity. The narrative requires a nemesis of epic proportions. Scary and infused in many life situations. An imminent threat that can possibly make you obsolete and cause you harm. He needs the ‘left cultural Marxist regressive’ for his brand to exist. It’s how he began his notoriety and he works meticulously to perpetuate the existence of this monster. The pictures of screaming blue haired lesbians after trump was elected or some kids who screamed over him at Uni were perfect visual validating characters that he has used to, in his own words, ‘monetise the left’. If you were raised through early childhood with Christian mythology, you will probably have a subconscious affinity with Peterson and his sympathy to the supernatural Jesus story. It will probably feel ‘familiar’. Jordan speaks to narrow-minded individualism, obscure metaphysics, and existentialist angst. If you prefer a little more evidence and reason, look elsewhere. Here’s what one of his old friends has to say about him: www.thestar.com/amp/opinion/2018/05/25/i-was-jordan-petersons-strongest-supporter-now-i-think-hes-dangerous.html I’ve just finished practicing clinical psychology for 5 years and are doing some more post grad studies now. This is my informed and to a degree, qualified opinion. I have purchased his book and attended his speaking appointment here in Australia. He says some cool things. Some very harmful things too. Like most people. Was that unpleasant?

My wife and I are the exact opposite Keirsey temperament. I an an INTP and she is a ESFJ. She’s a 9 F and I am a 9 T. We started dating when we were teenagers and were together for 5 years before we got married. We’ve been married 35 years this May. There are ways to manage the issues that arise from having opposite personalities.

I don't share my philosophy with most people i know, i live in kenya and i think our education system has screwd people into a terrible cycle. I'm an artist. I've always wanted to draw. Our school didn't have art. It was a bureaucracy kind of system. Anyway i had to learn from the internet and as i did i found 2D animation. I loved it. But most people don't get it. They mostly tell me to do something that can get me a job.

Does anyone know if Jordan Peterson ever addresses wanting to balance out your traits yourself. Ie does he believe someone who’s lazy can become more industrious and keep to it. Or is his position, you are who you are? Thanks comments

Commodify your soul in other words? Perhaps I'm taking the Messiah-Swami-Life Coach-Jock too seriously. Perhaps I'm just maladjusted...hey maybe I can commodify that trait. Come to think of it, the DSM III could be an excellent spotter for potential neo liberal maximization of earning potential. If I had any motivation I'd write the book: "(12 Psychiatric Diagnostic Rules for Life.)" Thanks Jordan... once again you've cleaned my room-shite!
