The best way of teaching people about the e-waste management is to inform people at the time of buying electronic gadgets. So that consumer knows how and where to dispose the particular gadget they've bought.

Summary: 1. Global per capita e-waste= 7.3 kg 2. Global warming contribution. 3. Rising consumption, short lifecycle, few repair options 4. National e-waste policy. E-waste management Rules in India. 5. Digitisation increasing. 6. In the world, only 22% are recycled. 7. Under e waste rules, Extended Producer Responsibility, implemented by Pollution Control Board. It's subrule is "Awareness". Here also producers are responsible to make consumer aware, by lectures, seminars, etc. for recycling. 8. Tweaks needed in the rules. Challenges= when the consumer wants to part away with the waste, he needs some return. Informal collectors are given more wastes for bigger prices. 9. People are not concerned about environment reasons or e-waste reasons, they are concerned only with money. Every level of society don't have knowledge. Policies are not getting participation of citizens. 10. e wastes contain mercury, cfc, brominated flame retardant, risks to human health and environment, improper management leads to global warning. 2019- 98 million metric tonnes of CO2 equivalence is released. Emissions from discarded fridges, AC. 0.3% global emissions from e wastes. Acids dumped in to rivers to remove gold. Leachings in Landfills. Particulate matter from dismantling. Kids and adolescents involved in collection, dismantling and recycling. 11. Need mission mode. We are third largest producing country of e-waste 12. Environment studies is still bookish in India. Still not part of fabric of mainstream. 13. Enforce legislation for all stakeholders, Strengthen monitoring across country, make recycling profitable by introducing technology. Encourage certification for collection and recycling. Send e-waste to licensed recyclers through incentives. Ensure easy access to them 14. Recycling second nature of 1 billion people. Now people don't even separate biodegradable from non-biodegradable at home. 15. Right to Repair-costs high or not available parts, and shelf life of products going down drastically. After warranty, right to repair to use till end of life. Govt. can control the pricing of components. Market sentiments. 16. Right to Repair isn't in e-waste policy. But markets for second and third hand products are growing. But long life of equipment should be there. 17. Time for repair important due to dependency on appliances. Consumers can't do much about it. Rules should make easier Repair, within small time, cheaper. Consumers will find loopholes and producers will also find loopholes. 18. Need modular designs of appliances by manufacturers, even if costs higher initially.

To aware people is not a easy task. Giving a sentiment in proper time with proper logic is the role of a genuine leader. This leader may be anyone among us. But this will be happened if our so called educated societies are concerned. There is a saying that "The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything".

Recently, introduced "The India semiconductor Mission" needs to have members of pollution board to ensure that checks& balances are there from the very beginning and to have plan B ready for the consequences of the production in near future.

Excludes in discussion : robust solutions were not discussed or no future technology to reduce or recycling the waste , what advancement developed or other countries doing were not included.... Need to rethink what we want to offer our public @sansadtv

Despite certain disfunctionalities im using my sony mobile since may 2017. But i found many of my friends changing their gadgets every year. Folks habituated to the new brands and fall in the prey of marketing tactics of electronic companies.
