Excellent Eric. I am going to use some of your ideas in my workshop. I teach watercolor at the Roswell Visual Arts Center in Roswell, GA. I love painting city scapes, and teaching about 1 pt perspective. Thankfully, you are loose. Love loose watercolor. Thank you, JillyWillyArt

I have to say, Eric you are such a good teacher, you are not too technical, you tell stories about the scenes and the editing of the videos, sounds and animations make your paintings fun and exiting, i've been painting for 20 yrs, but i can see now, i've been struggeling with mixing values, and no separate washes. Very interesting!

Eric you are very relatable and explain things in a manner in which a newbie to watercolor and drawing. I still have a lot to learn, but am very excited to learn for experts like yourself. I followed along, applying the principles your incorporated and ended up with a pretty good first time effort. Thanks again.

Thank you Eric. Your teaching about perspective is the best! And I love your painting. Not least of all because I was able to be there about a year ago now. It is not far from where I grew up long ago! Many memories your painting awakens.

Omg Eric I'm so happy you made this video and to know I'm not alone, I understand perspective and drawing in perspective, simple perspective I'm fine but when it gets complex it sucks the life out of my creativity and I totally feel like it's all Math I find finding my plum lines and connections really help me! Thank you my friend! Cheers from Canadaxo

Eric, I really like this lesson. I recently completed a painting in Andy Evansen’s course where I found (too late) that the perspective was off, particularly with a car on the street. A fellow classmate said it looked like my street was going uphill, and I saw it after the fact. You have really explained the concept well, especially the relative sizes of the car to a person. I also like the technique of drawing a box and pulling the box forward. I saved this video for future reference. Thanks, again.

Intuitive perspective is the number 1 skill that I'm after. I'm so happy that you made a video on this. I know the basics fairly well, but sometimes it comes down to hearing it from the right person to solidify what you know

You are such a wonderful instructor. Thank you so much, Eric! One thing that always confuses me about perspective is when I "think about where everything is in relation to me." Im not sure what you mean by that. Does it mean my view, eg, if Im looking up at or down on or directly at? Or if I placed myself in the painting?..ugh.. I just dont get that part. 😳😬🎨 could you help me understand?
