Dude, I really appreciate the work you put in, and your videos are really fantastic, but just a tiny bit of advice - you need to present yourself a bit better. I mean in the dressing sense, that hat looks a too gloomy and sad TBH, takes away my interest from the actual topic. I know I have no right to comment on your dressing style, but this is just a honest opinion. That hat makes you look a lame stoner kid. Also the background, something brighter and better light (even daylight) might look better. I think if you liven up your narration scene a bit, the overall asthetics of video might go hand in hand. There's a real issue with global sporting events where millions are spent on stadia, sports complexes or race tracks but then the circus moves on they are left nearly completely empty or even abandoned. Recent World Cups in Brazil and South Africa are terrible examples of this - it's just such a waste.

motorcycle racing is bigger in Spain, when Alonso was winning Spain fell in love with F1 and they got 2 races, as Alonso started losing Spain reverted back to 2 wheels again. look at Spain's national motorsport events and you will see more spectators at motorcycle races the car races

@@yunan9610 also the lower categories are dominated by spaniards: I feel like world titles in lower motorcycling categories are much more valued than Formula ones (Moto3 >>>> F3; Moto2 >>>> F2)... the Spanish riders jump mostly straight out of CEV (Spanish Velocity Championship) into Moto3 teams and get to win titles even in their rookie year because they are much faster than their competition, having Spain probably the best riding schools, being one of them Cuna de Campeones (Champions' Crable) in València

Weird this track didn’t have more over takes considering the two long straights and heavy breaking zones, just shows one sector doesn’t make a race track. Interestingly they started building Valencia football club a new stadium in 2007…. It’s STILL not complete and lies dormant with minimal work being done on it due to financially issues.

WTF? There were 3 overtaking corners in Valencia Street Circuit. The iconic come from behind win for Alonso was one of the best races in the last decade. ⚠️ The street is back to what it was. I don't see waste here.

I really enjoyed your videos. I really like to listen the history of this fantastic circuits which were cancelled by FIA but not erased from our memory. I think that we all agree that in modern F1 season tracks are often chosen by FIA because of the money to earn and not because of drivers or fans choice.

The reality of today’s España, thru the economic ordeal of a very industrial city: Valencia This is not FIA or Ecclesrone’s fault, well not entirely as they were just the ones showing what was wrong to the world. Higher taxes, sometimes increasing every few months... and Spaniards voting “because feelings” and not thinking about prosperity. This is happening to all Europe and also Australia, New Zealand... and Canada and America, but in Spain things started earlier. There were homeless people living around the circuit before each race, more every time... and nobody understood the situation? Excellent video, gracias!

I remember when they first raced there the teams said loved the pit garages because they were essentially converted warehouses which meant they had more space to play with than at any other circuit.

I never understood why they didn't just use the Ricardo Tormo circuit, personally. It was right there. It was up to scratch and could host F1 grade events, with testing and high level series and motorcycle events however.

I hope not. The F1 cars rip up and ripple the tarmac. The bumps make it dangerous for the bikes. Ricardo Tormo is a great place to watch motoGP despite the relative lack of overtaking spots

I didn't appreciate Valencia at the time, but on reflection it was a decent street circuit, especially when compared to Vietnam and the new Saudi Arabia track. Think I prefer this over Baku. Such a shame to see it go to waste, you'd have thought it would have made a good circuit for Formula E.

With what I am about to say can be argued to b bias, given that I from Adelaide, but for me, in the terms of F1, Adelaide 1GP Street Circuit set the standard for Street Circuits in F1. More so when you compare to other Street Circuit's of that era like with Caesars Palace Grand Prix, Detroit street circuit, an the Phoenix street circuit. Adelaide F1GP Street Circuit not only was hard for both teams and drivers. It was also provided for good racing for teams, drivers, and for spectators. Not only that, when Adelaide hosted the Australian round of the F1GP season. It was constantly voted as the best, or one of the best rounds.

It was probably Bernie’s deals that killed it. His deals meant each year the circuit owners would have to pay more, and most were already asking fans the maximum for tickets. Plus Bernie was on his maximum “go with the money” for circuits, so any circuit that wasn’t keeping up would get kicked out.

Building circuits in city's/countries with already existing race tracks will always be a waste of time and money. Spain already has Aragon, Jerez, Catalunya, Valencia with preexisting facilities and infrastructure. Why they decided to build another one I'll never understand!

Not a huge fan of the Valencia track to be quite frank. They tried to make it look like Monaco, but honestly, the dock setting and track design weren't suited to F1, at least at the time. They should've gone with Ricardo Tormo in my opinion

Last I heard was major major corruption, circa, BBC. Which makes me wonder, given it made it into F1 2020, how often has that happened, a track makes it into the game but isn't ever run in the actual series? EDIT: Corruption as far as killing the 20211 race and doubts it'll ever happen. Coronavirus killed the 2020 race. I remember all the hype the big influencers were doing showing off the virtual circuit then the race never happened...

I'll dare to disagree from most opinions here to say Valencia was actually a snoozefest, only made entertaining under specific circumstances - like 2012 Vettel engine failure - and I'm glad it left the calendar. The quality of racing wasn't anything special before with smaller cars, today it would be even worse with no space at all for on track overtaking. It could be a decent venue for some of the feeder series, but not F1 itself.
