I can see where qualifiers at the Monaco Grand Prix Are quite thrilling. The race itself, I'm bored with all the cameras shifting on the celebrity or whatever the very uninteresting people that I don't know or care about, even if I recognize their faces on social media. Even though they're popular, They are just husks of the real shadows who left their bodies. Just like Formula One itself. Too Corporate to carry too expensive to support and run.

What's also great about Monaco is that you can drive several consecutive hotlaps and not have to do a cooldown lap after each hotlap.

I think Norris needs to watch out for Piastri, he will not always get a penalty. Just imagine the outcome of this race if he hadn't been stuck behind a Ferrari forever.

Mclaren are like the only team with a stable future in their two young drivers, whereas every other team is playing musical chairs with their drivers for the next 6 years.

Man I was so sleepy during the race (9am race for me and I had gone out yesterday) and i legit was considering for the first time turning off the race and going to sleep because i thought Max was certain to win until I heard Lando was catching up real close and then i was wide awake 😂

If Max wins qualifying this week the season is over.

Not that it matters too much but Max lost around 3 seconds of his lead after the pit stops so the undercut was valuable

Seems like the redbull doesnt like hard tires. Both drivers struggled with them. In that other race too, china i think. Not sure what the compounds were each time though. If anyone knows the compounds, id love to hear it… Monaco has been about quali for 50+ years, this isnt new… lol. A close quali would be great.

zero chance Max would allow Lando to overtake, no matter how many laps left. Max has been in F1 for 9 years and he's only 26 years old. Lando is a fantastic driver but he's about to enter deep waters and Max is a shark.

Monaco is not the problem. The track didn't get smaller, the cars got way bigger (longer). They are the size of full size SUV's. That's the problem. The cars are way too long and just too big in general and F1 knows it and won't fix it for the same reason they won't let Andretti in, because they don't give a shit about the fans experience.

Las Vegas last year was close. Brazil was close. United states was close. Qatar was close. Monza was close. Silverstone was close. Canada was close. Verstappen came out on top those races due to insane consistency, but there wasn't anything remotely resembling any car dominance. People talk about Red Bull as if it had one of the most dominant cars ever when half the races in 2023 Red Bull only had a tiny margin in the hands of what is probably the best driver in the history of the sport.

Oscar is also really close to his first win, and I think this talking point is not even being broached. 2nd in qualifying two races in a row. Safety car in Miami, and the impeding penalty in Imola. Wouldn't be shocked to see that happen in Monaco.

HES STILL NOT UNDER PRESSURE. It’s purely a marketing phrase to say so until lando is even ATTEMPTING an overtake, the win is not in question (barring a rare max mistake). Lando didn’t even get close enough to attempt an overtake, and to all people saying he would have caught him in a couple laps, let’s see what an overtake by bottlejob lando looks like on Max, and I’m a lando fan. Max and RB will continue to run away in points total.

I predict Piastri for pole and Max for victory.

I genuinely believe that Max is in his prime right now and even if he doesn’t have the best car on the grid he will still win races. Of course I don’t think he will win them all but he will still be tough to beat if the car is setup correctly for him & the circuit.

Being off pace once or twice a year means little to nothing. And i don't get the Lando hype. Piastri, first time racing this circuit, qualified better than Lando. Ppl really desperately look for a "hype" and are clutching at straws obviously. Not saying teams are not getting close or better than RB, just saying it's way too early to crown Lando the next WC and slayer of the Dutch anthem ... 😂

If the #2 car at Red Bull could defend the #1 car, it could pass the #1 car. The #2 car at Red Bull is just for show.
