Just finished listening. The idea of combining an audiobook with scrolling text is genious! It was of great use when a part of the text flew by and I could pause, re-read the paragraph and comprehend the text. Much work it must have taken to record, edit and make it as user-friendy as possible. Thank you very much!

Me too. It's the heart of such a beautiful story. I do love Austen's other novels, but nothing else quite compares to Persuasion in my eyes, and no other heroine to Anne Elliot.

I do not mean any disrespect whatsoever towards the talented readers with an American accent, but I personally think an English accent for English classics is actually quite important. These books were written with the melody, rhythm and altogether sound of the English language in mind. It's an entirely different colour. It matters. I LOVE THIS. I can't believe I actually read this book about 20 years ago and didn't enjoy it. Hearing it read now, I could barely tear myself away from it. It is a lovely story which I thorougly enjoyed. Pride and Prejudice was the first Austen I read, which I loved to obsession and I guess I fell into the trap of comparing all her other books to that one. But Persuasion is great too. I think I'm retracing your steps now for sure haha. I too started with Pride and Prejudice, and at the moment I'm not totally enraptured with Persuasion, but when time and experience come for me, I'm sure I'll change my mind.

Thank You for a 7+ hour reading! Amazing work, much respect ‼️ I had a leather bound complete works of Jane Austen…A lovely 8 hour a day summer babysitter asked to borrow it and I never saw it again. We were working parents, and she was an educated, polite, instructive and attentive caregiver. It figures she’d love ❤️ Austen. A good and well earned reward for that summer. She was making money for her next semester. I hope she’s thriving now and has kept one of my fondest treasures. God Bless ❤️

i’m only an hour in , but this is great ! with some books i like to listen to an audiobook at about 1.75-2x speed while i read along with the physical book and this recording is perfect for that ! :) great voice , very clear . and thank you for organising the chapters so it’s easy to pick up where i left off ! great job , keep it up ❤️
