Abortion is indefensible. Its crazy we have to make the case against it rather than them having to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that its not murder.

The labels used to describe an individual or the wanton taking of their lives don't matter. Euphemisms don't alter reality. Intentionally killing and disposing of your own son or daughter is what it is, and it's not fundamentally different based on how young or old he or she is. The wanton taking of innocent lives is indeed morally repugnant, even when leftists celebrate such grotesque unAmerican ideas.

The labels we use to describe someone or the act of killing them doesn't matter, but the value of our lives and the wanton taking of innocent lives most certainly does matter. Whether it's condemned as murder or celebrated as choice, it's still the exact same act perpetrated against the exact same individual, regardless of whether you celebrate or mourn his or her death. And the plainly observable and verifiable reality we live in dictates that we do not get to pick and choose who is or isn't disposable. We don't get to pick and choose now, for the same reasons we didn't when the abolitionist movement and republican party was founded well over a century ago.

I discovered Trent on the Whatever podcast! My mother is the product of incest. Her mother was 14 when she was born, and her father, sadly, was also her grandfather. Unfortunately it did have a very profound effect on her mental wellbeing, although she was physically well. I think if she hadn’t grown up in that home, she would have been fine, but obviously it was a poor environment. As awful as it was, I am glad to be alive, I have a lovely life, and I am a mother to a wonderful son. For that reason, the incest/r**e argument always unsettled me. Both are awful and the former can lead to genetic problems, but I know my own life has had value to myself, my family, and my community.

So my pastor has six kids plus bunch of temp fosters by irresponsible parents who just drop their problematic kids at pastor's house thinking that'll be a good environment to rehabilitate. Pastor's kid 2 and 3, then 4 5 6 came like 2 years apart. Aside from 2, the rest 3 were admittedly unplanned, but all were blessing nonetheless. Now I don't believe they're using abortion as birth control at all. So aside from not having sex from that point on, are they just beating the odds of not have another pregnancy for the past 10 years? Or do I need better sex ed lesson on how they pull it off after clearly capable of getting 6 back to back?

Natural Family Planning. NFP is an umbrella term for certain methods used to achieve and avoid conception. These methods are based on the observation of the naturally occurring signs and symptoms of the fertile and infertile phases of a woman's menstrual cycle. Some natural methods include use of fertility monitors to better understand the time of the wife's fertility. Married couples using NFP to postpone conception abstain from intercourse and genital contact during the fertile phase of the wife's cycle. No drugs, devices, or surgical procedures are used to avoid pregnancy.

@@GratiaPrima_If you read Dr. Nathanson’s book Ab0rting America, he says Larry Lader, one of the proponents of ab0rtion in the 1960s, absolutely HATED the Catholic Church, and believed it was the last enemy to conquer. Margret Sanger also hated the Church (of course, she also hated Blacks, Jews, Asians, the disabled, Eastern European immigrants, and anyone else who wasn’t a WASP.)
