Rolex Datejust Killer! The AWESOME Pagani Design PD-1645 Automatic Date - Perth WAtch

I bought this exact watch with the same colour dial in an AliEx sale last year, and got it for an extremely low price. Unfortunately, when it arrived, I found the bezel and the bracelet to be very shiny. Much more than I had expected. Which meant I only ever wore it once. Eventually, I swapped out the bracelet for a blue suede strap, which helped cut down on the shine, but I still find the bezel too shiny for daily wear. So, it still mostly sits in its box. Overall, I would recommend it, but only to people who like very shiny watches.

I feel the same way about high polish bracelets......so I picked up a scourer pad from the hardware store and gave the bracelet some brushing, and bam the shine was gone and looks really good. As long as the material is stainless steel you won't hurt it, I say give it a crack instead of leaving it in the box ;-)

Ive been using this modell for almost a year now. Out of the box it was running around -10 . - 15s/d which was fine. I could also managed to fine tune the clasps quick adjust. Then after 6months approx, it slowed down, and ran on -30 - -40s/d, so I decided to do something. Took the caseback down and regulated with a toothpick. Now it on solid 0s/d, with 0,1 beat error. Overally I am extremely satisfied. Solid watch, made from solid steel, nice barcelet, nice dial, and a werk which is very good and easy to regulate.

Thanks for review! Your review is just one of many confirming that Pagani is very good value for the many. I have 17cm wrist as well, and I think I have been pretty right about that 50mm lug to lug is the upper limit for the wrist size. It looks to be ok on your wrist, but it should definitely not be longer.

Thanks for the review! Just got my first one today. The PD-1645. I own stuff from $80 homage Cadisen stuff, to my $2K Tag Calibre 5 AquaRacer. The $70(ebay purchase) Pagani sits within the quality of $200 and $300 from many brands. This is upon first impression. That said, the Seiko NH35A is a powerhouse workhorse that needs no testing. Advertised as 10-40+/- seconds a day, but the worst NH35A I've checked was 11 seconds+ a day. Best was -2 seconds a day on the one in my Islander ISL-79 diver. I am on the wait list for a 41MM Datejust, and will probably never get the call. But, being optimistic, I bought this Pagani to prepare my experience to an extent. Realistically, this Pagani will be with me until I die, while waiting on my meager watch collection not being the kind Rolex ADs call for arrivals. Haha I may just get my name off the list, as this Pagani is well above mt expectations and I won't be making credit card payments for years. One criticism would be trying a 1:1 copy. Cadisen, at least, made big changes to their new 42MM Royal Oak homage to avoid being a 1:1 cooy, with a gorgeous bracelet. Another budget friendly watch I recommend.

Thanks for sharing that man - haha yeah I got my name down for professional pieces at two local Rolex ADs, so you and me both likely never getting the call then! :) But hey might still be good keeping your name on that list coz if you ever do get the chance, it's almost a no brainer investment even if you do not want to wear it, Rolex keep value and sell for profit almost invariably!

Hi Ivan, I have viewed this watch model amongst others in a Pagani Design kiosk during my watch browsing trip. Upon viewing their watches up close including the watch you've reviewed, I found their watches to be of decent quality which is quite amazing given their MSRP. The physical watch appearance and finishing are similar to Rolex's Datejust but with solid case back and without inclined rehaut (dial walls / ring). The lug width of this model is identical to the original Rolex Datejust. However, this can't be said the same for its clasp as the actual are for Explorer, Submariner, among other sports models. I agree with you that Pagani Design homage models do offer good competitive value in watch homages price market. Best regards Ivan.

I've seen only one kiosk and its at Genting Highland Premium Outlet (GPO) Malaysia, a special location for significant discounted prices by branded retailers. Their kiosk is more like an outdoor booth just outside of their main store called Ball Boutique GPO, their main watch brand focus, Ball. They positioned the watches as budget entry brand, according to their sales staffs. I have also seen Pagani Design watches in another store by Citizen GPO around the same location.

You’d need specific tools to remove the hands and even if you had them, there is a good chance you’d do some damage (unless you’ve trained in the area).

I own this specific model for a while now and I have to say that I pretty appreciate it. It is very accurate (-2 sec a day!) and well built, considering the price. The only weak aspect for me is the clasp, but I can't complaint anyway!

Great review as usual. Ok, I'll be the boring guy here: What if these came without cyclops and a non fluted bezel? Would be an awesome good looking watch for the value! Yeah, I know and see the point and will also see myself out of here (still would love to see my above fantasy version with a grey dial alternative, kinda like the Seiko SNXS79). Seriously though, that really deep blue is stunning and the bracelet seems really good as well. Seems like an over all great value for money PD watch.

Great review. Just received this watch this morning from AliExpress and agree with everything you say, except for the bracelet. Maybe, I was just a bit unlucky, but the bracelet is very sharp all along the edges on the underside. I had previously just received the white dial black bezel Daytona homage from Pagani and the bracelet is well finished throughout, so this was a slight disappointment.

Owning several Pagani I can say they’re terrific for the money! Yes they have their idiosyncrasies but I love em! The Seiko movement obviously is pretty good & I haven’t had to adjust mine as I’m more than happy with their accuracy. Finish is good & everything lines up! Right put of the gate, I will second the motion put forth in the thumbnail headline. I have nicer watches. I have better watches. But I have found NO better watches at the $75.00 to $150.00 price point than Pagani. "Best under $100.00?" Absolutely, Pagani wins that contest without rival. They have one offering, closer to the $150 range...that I believe can hold it's own against the original Omega it copies. But even though that one stands above the crowd, all of them are outstanding watches for the price. I don't own the one in the video here, so I have come to learn about it. But I am not surprised that our man found another Pagani to praise!

Casing, dial, index marker dan hand and second hand jam cukup bagus, akurasi mesin Seiko NH35A juga bagus sekali, cuman lug to lug nya kepanjangan dan lug nya agak kaku dan ujung lugnya kurang melengkung kebawah mengikuti pergelangan tangan sehingga bracelet di lug agak menggantung dan ada celah sehingga tidak mengikuti kontur pergelangan tangan padahal saya biasanya suka pakai jam ukuran 42mm. rantai bracelet jam yang jubilee ini juga agak kasar dan agak kaku di beberapa ruasnya, waktu buka clasp jamnya pun terasa keras dan bisa merusak kuku. ya dengan range harga begini ya sebenarnya gak bisa complain terlalu banyak sih. pepatah mengatakan Ada Harga Ada Barang itu Benar Adanya. Buat Saya pribadi Saya tidak akan membeli Jam Pagani Design lagi. Cukup 1 ini saja.

The casing, dial, index marker and hand and second hand watch are quite good, the accuracy of the Seiko NH35A machine is also very good, but the lug to lug is long and the lugs are a bit stiff and the ends of the lugs are not curved down to follow the wrist so the bracelet on the lug hangs a bit and there is a gap so it doesn't follow the contour of the wrist even though I usually like to wear 42mm watches. This jubilee watch bracelet chain is also a bit rough and a bit stiff in some of its segments, when you open the watch clasp it feels hard and can damage your nails. Yes, with this price range, you really can't complain too much. There is a saying that there is a price, there is an item, it is true. For me personally I will never buy another Pagani Design Watch again. Just this 1.

G'Day from beautiful Thailand. I honestly think that Pagani Design are missing a trick with the PD1645 Datejust. I've suggested a couple of times that they introduce a PVD coated Datejust and bracelet with a midnight blue dial and Seiko SNZG13J1 type fence post handset. It would look amazing. What's your thinking about it ? A bit of Mix'n'match wouldn't go a miss. JANBOY. RN. Rtd.
