I agree, this truck is a great budget basher for beginners, I like the dual battery compartments on this one and it's built pretty well overall, thick cvd's, brace on the bottom of the chassis as well as the bulk head plates front and rear will help with durability

@@PERTHWESTOZRC Exactly. If you buy this for a kid and get two 3000mah 2S batteries and a series connector they could bash around for ages and probably not break anything too. Give a kida fast small sacle lcg buggy like an a959B or 144001 and all you have to do is wait 5min before they smack a gutter at full speed and break something 🤣🤣

Wow quite a class of new trucks this year! I'm losing track. This trucks have many firsts. First with servo plugs for extra lights. The bottom metal piece looks more sophisticated than the wltoys! Big battery compartment, wow and the leds! it should be a winner. I hope they will have good part availability!

Love this UDIRC truck. I have always been a big fan of their r/c cars, boats and drones. This one looks great and I'm glad it has oil filled shocks and keeping with their recent habit of including a gyro was a nice touch. So this is a new vendor you said, eh? I've never heard of them.

Neat little truck! I see them available in the States now through AMain Hobbies. I sort of chuckled as I clicked on the link thinking, "Just another low grade toy", but it seems to be built fairly well, and the options for future mods seems pretty good too! The double battery tray is an awesome feature. I did also notice, as random as it seems, but also very important, in your video, it had TONS of opportunities to traction roll, and it never did. Unless that was your expert editing. ;) Looks like a fun first truck, and then a learning test bed for young bashers who want more, and want to learn about how these things work before they end up totally hooked on the hobby like me for over 35 years now! lol

Any idea where I can get parts for this car? Mine broke a tooth on the bevel gear that drives the front diff. The site I ordered from (hosim) says these parts are discounted but that can't be can it? I thought this car was pretty new a pretty new model.

In my follow up video when i converted to brushless and ran it on 4S, when it checked the gears i had the same issue with the bevel pinion gear on the rear as well as the rear diff. Its caused by them not shimming the diffs at all as they have a heap of play inside the diff housing, check yours out and you will see if you grab it from the diff cup it will wobble loose and rock side to side. I looked up parts online and no luck at all, and emailed UDIRC themselves about the parts availability being non existant and also that they should shim their diffs, received no reply at all. That the good thing about brushed motors, they dont cog they just go!!! And for the price It seems this thing Is excelent mate, It says the motor Its rated at 18,500 at 7.4v maybe just change the motor for a surpass hobby 550 12t 3 slot one and an 80a Esc and using 3s on It I think It would become a monster, and it's a bit cheaper than going brushless, but any way I cant wait to see the next vids and what you do with It, I really like this one!! UDI Is doing great!!!

Hashing an old review here lol. Just got one for my birthday. Do you think it would reliabily run a 3s LIPO easily enough as you mentioned?

Hello mate It may handle 3s but with these 2 in 1 esc receiver combos they can be hit or miss as far as reliability, so always be prepared for them to potentially fail, sometimes they don't though and last quite a while on 3s. Cheers for watching

Seems a lot more expensive than a flyhal fc610 to which it is very similar. This udi has a more upmarket transmitter and gyro but those stock xlf wheels are rubbish quality. I stripped 6, running on 2S with an LC racing brushless EMBT at approx 35mph so I doubt they’ll handle this truck on 3S at around 30mph. I was really hoping this would be a competitor for the mighty brushless hbx901a but It’s not. I do Like the look of the body and am keen to see your 3S speed run.

Can't really compare this to the HBX 901A, totally different RC's. I haven't had any issues of stripping these style of wheels and tyres on any of the brushless XLF trucks I have and my brushless converted XLH 9125 and that is pretty quick on 3s and can reach up to 75kph off road with a 60A Surpass Platinum ESC and 4370kv 2845. Upgrading to better wheels and tyres is a better choice though. I will converting this to brushless eventually. Cheers for watching Patrick

@@PERTHWESTOZRC how do u keep 9125 differential running without issues with brushless system? I kept stripping mine with the stock system and I sold it really cheap out of frustration. I got a feeling this UD1202 use the same kind of diff as the 9125.

The UDI diffs are different as they are sealed and have oil in them instead of grease, also the 9125 I had for years and never stripped the gears cause I packed em full of grease and maintained them by opening them up after about a dozen or so bash sessions and changed out the grease for fresh stuff.
