Peru Day 4

Special Interest tours and Trains Magazine sponsored a two week rail journey to Peru in September 2017. This covers the fourth day of that excursion that took us from a mining and smelting city of La Oroya along the Mantaro River to an agricultural area and finally to downtown Huancayo. This video ends as we travel through the wide agricultural areas.

Excellent video. Did you end up getting footage of Juaja or Huancayo?

We rode into Huancayo in the rear car, which was open extended platform in the rear, and for miles people came rushing out to greet us in a way reminiscent of the greeting of the liberating troops in French villages, albeit obviously a totally different context. I am still kicking myself for keeping my camcorder in my pocket.
