Hi there, I wonder whether you have booked the bus ticket online or somewhere in advance?

Hi! We booked our tickets on the Transzela website here: www.transzela.com.pe/. We booked our seats about a month in advance. Not sure if it’s necessary to do so, we just knew the date we needed to get the bus and booked it!☺️

This is a good description of the trip with many important details. I am curious if you speak any Spanish. So many American travelers to that part of the world know two words in Spanish: gracias and cerveza. I find that having at least an intermediate level of Spanish goes a long way. Was that an Airbnb or a hotel you were staying in and how much did you pay per night for a double?

I’m glad you found it helpful! As Canadians, we don’t learn Spanish in school; we’ve just got a bit of French! But we didn’t have any issues communicating. We stayed at the “Hostal Iskanwaya” in La Paz and we booked through Agoda. It’s listed as a hostel but it’s all private rooms. We paid 30USD/42CAD per night including taxes and fees.

Good video and informative regarding the bus ride. My family of four will come from Cusco to Lapaz too. Still contemplating if we’ll travel by bus or fly.

Thanks for watching! We had debated between the bus and flying. In the end, the flight times didn’t work with our tight schedule.
