This is Awesome seeing this! We did this trip in reverse in 2018 (La Paz, 3 hrs in Copacabana, stayed the night in Puno, ~2 hr lunch buffet somewhere, Cusco). In all these years, you are the first KZbinrs I have stumbled across that have done this journey (or at least shown it). 👍🏼

Coool! Was your trip pretty similar to this? Kind of organised, semi chaotic, hot, and a bloody adventure haha?

Hi Stacey & Daneger, Your South America series is bringing back all my memories of travelling South America for 6months back in 2016. We did a lot of overnight buses! They were interesting! A bit hit and miss but still fun! We stayed in Hostel Las Olas in Copacabana too- was a mission getting our bags up there!😅I absolutely loved Bolivia...so I'm looking forward to see your next few videos! Michelle

Wow! Sounds a journey that's like a buffet of South American awesomeness! Can't wait for the next few episodes because it felt like hopping from Peru to Bolivia, Argentina, and Chile is like playing cultural hopscotch. I already visited Chile and Argentina few years ago to film one of our TV show and I would love to see what you have in store for us!

Harriet and I have traveled extensively in South America. We found buses a little challenging. If you can find them. We hired a driver/guide booked well ahead of time. It's costly, but much more pleasant only when the infrastructure is poor or sketchy. But you guys handled it well. Sending you much love❤ from Richmond, Va. Harriet, Jim and Yuki

Totally agree re the buses, they are quite challenging! Luckily this one with Peru Hop in particular is more for tourists and the rest of our time was on tours, so all in all pretty stress free!

What an adventure! I took a bus in Chile and thought it was of very high standard and comfy. But my brother rode with chickens on the bus in Peru...there is no in between lol

Haha, that's quite a leap from comfort to chickens! Chilean buses set a high standard, but your brother's adventure sounds like a crazy ride

Was the Puno tour long enough? in my Peru Hop Lima-La Paz Itinerary it says 2 hours tour and it's 20-30min to the islands so that leaves 1 hour on the island itself?
@DaneAndStacey
@DaneAndStacey 11 ай бұрын
Yeah it was long enough for the area they cover, which really isn't all that much of the island. We were expecting much more of a tour or to see more of the island. But it's so cheap, the adventure is still fun, the altitude makes walking lots tough anyway, the heat, and the alternative is literally sitting in the bus or walking around the very dead town. We would do it again.

@@DaneAndStacey Thanks for the answer :) I just found out there is a storm called "El Nino" going on in Peru? Did you hear about it? Do you think it will affect my travel during May? Will it still rain alot even though May is dry season?

I loved Peru Hop, did it all the way from Lima to La Paz but with longer stops. We had the same guide in Bolivia actually but I didn’t like Puno or Copacabana much at all really, how slow were all the boats!! 😭
@DaneAndStacey
@DaneAndStacey Жыл бұрын
Peru Hop was awesome! Those longer stops added some adventure. Having the same guide in Bolivia must've been interesting! Puno and Copacabana, those boats were painfully slow, right? Patience was definitely key! 😩

At the Tiquina Strait Crossing, passengers must take a boat ferry, and separate from the bus by law. About twenty years ago, a bus went down into the water while crossing, there was a high school class inside the bus at the time. It was a heartbreaking scene due to the casualties, so the law was changed.

Stacey - please start carrying an asthma inhaler when you go to all these places with such high elevation 😘😘😘 I worry now after your video from the other week, especially with you going to places that are a little off the beaten track, & therefore further away from medical attention 😘😘😘 - loving this latest video btw

What a shame you only spent 3 days on your Peru Hop journey. We took the same bus trip - and spent 28 days covering the same areas and saw way more things than you saw. It was fantastic, very inexpensive, and such an easy way to travel. 3 days would be exhausting...you should enjoy your time a bit more while on the road.
