When you go after the spiders, walk really slowly towards them and when they raise their legs up and shake..stop. Once they go back down on all of their legs, start walking slowly towards them again and repeat the process until you're close enough to catch them.

Yay another reading vlog! I have quite the mug selection myself and usually the bigger the better. I've been so happy to receive mugs from OwlCrate boxes occasionally. I'm so glad that I have my Kindle especially with current events so I can download most e-books fairly cheap or from the Library during this time. Romance books can be so much fun to read and I also tend to fly through them. Tessa Dare is a great author!

I've also been reading a lot on my e-reader. I live in Switzerland so I'd either have to wait for a couple weeks to get books from the UK or pay the import prices on Swiss online stores. So since there's no added benefit of supporting a small local shop, I've just been getting e-books. Also, I don't care about having mass-market paperbacks of romances and as someone who moves a lot, I still can't collect many physical books. And please read The Hating Game!!!! I know it's a contemporary, not the historical fiction you got into, but if you like good banter and lots of funny scenes, it is THE ONE. I was thoroughly entertained all the way and had so much fun.

I went to Switzerland this past summer and it was so beautiful! I was hoping to go back this year, but it doesn't look like I'll be able to with everything going on. I was sad to not have as much time to explore and find a bookshop while I was there, but I agree, ebooks are the only thing keeping me sane.

@@amandagood27 Switzerland is beautiful, usually a little boring, but at least there's a lot of nature and we are still allowed to go on hikes and stuff, as long as distances are kept. Bookshops, unfortunately, are mainly franchises.

So, I’m a bit of a lurker, but you are my favorite booktuber because we have very similar taste and I can trust your recommendations. I have some things to say on this vid lol. Mugs! I’m a bit of a mug / teacup collector myself, my favorite mugs for awhile now are by Dunoon. They have soooo many very different designs (from cute and quirky, to educational, to elegant, to floral) and different shapes and sizes. They are pricy, but I’ll get one every once in a while and they are fabulous. The mugs you have shown are pretty thick, so I don’t know if that’s your preference, but Dunoon mugs are super thin and made of bone china. I adore them! Coffee and tea just taste better out of them I think lol! On to the next! ACNH tarantula island tip (you might have already figured this out): If you keep your vaulting pole equipped while looking for them, they won’t attack you if you run too close (my husband and I call it our safety stick lol). But you need to equip your net once you’ve found them or they will despawn. Then you can hold down A as you slowly approach them, stopping every time they rear up, and moving closer once they are down again until you’re close enough to release A for the catch. It takes longer, but not if you get bit all the time like I do when not doing it this way. I hope you see this and it helps! I love you and your videos are a bright spot in this anxiety ridden time. P.S. I read mostly fantasy and I listen to cozy mysteries and I do love a good smutty entertaining romance (but not contemporary, almost always regency or within fantasy or paranormal/wear wolves etc). I borrowed (Overdrive) the audiobooks of the Girl Meets Duke series after you recommended it a few videos ago, and I blew through them. Witty banter, loveable characters, humor and smut. I love them lol!

The Spindle Cove series by Tessa Dare is SO GOOD. The 2nd book in that series is my favorite, if you decide to venture back towards romance books. The series is set in a charming little village where spinsters go to be themselves and pursue their own interests and the 2nd one is also a love story about a brainy lady falling for an incorrigible rake. Veryyyy saucy.

Same with mass market paperbacks. I can stand it for short periods of time, but only if the spine is cracked like crazy. Otherwise it’s like a hand workout for trying to read. Hence, why I’ve decided to replace my Sanderson MMPB editions with the full size, starting with oathbringer ( next read) and it came in today and I cant stop laughing about how insanely large it is. 😂😂 moreso than I was already aware

For your next regency romance binge might I suggest The Ravenels by Lisa Kleypas. Very similar to Girl Meets Duke but even better IMHO. Ok, the first two are a little off but the friendship/family group is delightful and the last three are amazing relationships. ❤️
