Thank you Paul! I have been doing research to figure out wha the heck is up with my leg and came across your video. I am 3 years post-opt on a full ACL replacement on the same side. No doubts now, this is exactly what I have. Looking forward to discussing next steps with my PT.

Thank you so much!! You have helped identify and clarify my issue. Local orthopedics focused on meniscus even when I kept saying the pain is here at this attachment point ONLY. They gave me a shot in the knee on opposite side (which did not help) instead of an injection at this bursitis location.

Paul any recommendations or medicine I can take? For this pain. Also you mentioned that this trauma tendenitis built-up something like a bump. That what I can see when is inflamed.
@OrthoEvalPal6 ай бұрын
Yes, inflammation and swelling can cause a bump there but not like a bony bump

Nonsteroidal antiinflammatories can help. Some people will do well with Voltaren cream over that area.

Rested my leg at an odd angle for a day or two or three when playing videogames and then got this immense pain when sitting down and pulling my knee towards me against the sofa. Didn't use my broken box of a footstool that I am sure caused this and felt better when sitting on the sofa the day after. Haven't used my footrest at all kind of for two days and now it is even more painful to move my knee towards me when sitting and kind of when walking, I have to force myself not to swing my leg and walk normally because my body is scared of the pain from moving my knee. Walking up stairs slso hurt, but not as much as sitting on the soffa and pulling my leg back towards the edge of the sofa. I hope this goes away quickly because I was planning to start Mt.biking soon and biking can make it worse I read. sigh

I have pain in that area only when I do some abrupt movements or when I walk in a circle. Yet, I can perform full squats and climb stairs painfree without problems. Can this be true to pes anserinus irritations or do you experience constant pain? THX for the vid tho

hey man idk if you will read this but it's the exact same for me, did it improve?

If you have this pain along with pain all the way up the inner thigh.. would you say a gracilis strain could cause this? I also have clicking on the medial knee..
@DharmaGirl61 Жыл бұрын
Sartorius, find a good anatomical image of the sartorius muscle. Your description matches that muscle, and the gracilis, and the third, "good foot" indeed.

Great video 🙏🏼 My pain in the Pes Anserine area is triggered by lifting entire leg (activating hip flexors). Other movements are fine. This makes me think it’s Pes Anserine rather than Meniscus. But could be MCL? It’s a small spot that is very tender to the touch. Thoughts?

Such a weird pain....Feels like this might be what I have..I get this pain and feel like or am afraid that it's a meniscus issue, but it's below the joint line..
