TLDW:- 1. Double tap D-Pad up or down to change attack mentality. 2. Full red will make 1 player stay forward. Use player to join attack in the gameplan to pick that player. If no player is chosen, one of the CB will go forward. I usually choose CMF. 3. Be careful when using CB or FB as the player as this can leave space behind. Try to use anchorman, defensive fullback or defensive instruction to ensure at least 3 players stay behind. 4. Try to mix up +1 and +2 attack mentality to make the formation more dynamic. 5. With additional player up front, frontline pressure is quite effective. 6. 3 CBs setup is quite good for full red tactics.

I thought that "Join attack" would only work for corner kick and set pieces so the chosen man would go in the box. It's nice to know that those same players are the ones joining tha attack in +2 attacking level.

Yes yes, this is a good tutorial for beginners. There are a lots of technical aspects of the game that many new players (even old players) don't know. Plus, most of these features have always been there since the oldest of Pes, Pes 6 as I remember. Hope you can cover the others as well (super cancel, clearance, timing to press the header, shooting, and passing button. Plus the importance of tweaking the tactics in ML, fluid formation, etc. These small things wil help players to appreciate this game better.

What about +1 mentality, how it does change the game, any suggestions?

+1 is a bit aggressive than white (0). 1. players will do more forward run during offense. 2. during defense, your player (who you are not controlling) will press for the ball. and if you have more than 1 forward, they will stay forward keeping the original formation shape. 3. when the opponent get a freekick/corner kick, 2 of your players will stay forward instead 1.

Im using 5122 (3CB, LB+RB, DMF, RMF, AMF, 2CF) and the full attack is working really well, my opponents always struggle to mark the attacker as the additional CB makes it confusing to them in a way how to defend since they got busy already with the 2 of my CF+1 Hole Player AMF. Im using Inter, Skriniar or De Vrij is suitable for this kind of instructions! In the end, the 5122 formation feels like 325, (im using defensive on my DMF)

yes, but be careful when using CB as the player to join attack especially if you only have 2 CBs. human player usually will do a lot of long ball or through pass. so, dont want a gap at the back

After charging to kick, L1+R3 to select the header. Then move him keeping pressed R2 or R1+R2 to tune your position in front of the defender or the keeper

need to have momentum before shooting. easiest way is to double tap sprint then shoot (without holding sprint). and need to shoot with stronger foot.
