Autograss Crashes & Highlights, 50th Mens National Autograss Championships (Day 2), 4/8/24

Day 2, a very tidy set of 3rd heats leading into a fairly tidy set of finals too! Except for maybe Class 4. Overall a pretty good way to round out the 50th Anniversary of the Mens Nationals, although it was a bit of a shame that the cars and drivers of the past didn't get much more air time. Would have been nice to have heard their tales on the commentary, and seen the sadly very few retro cars in attendance actually RUN. The viewing all weekend was not amazing either, I get why these fences are up but I can't stand them and they suck. Not sure why flags were stuck in front of the spectators view either. But track wise you couldn't have asked for any better, the prep was on point and the racing was awesome as it so often is. Some good story lines from the whole event. Next year I really hope the nationals takes in a new venue (remember this one WAS supposed to be held at Scunny!) or at least one they've not done in a long time, but time will tell.
