OK. In a race to BUY which wins? The Impact or the Royale? Buy both? Declare bankruptcy after buying both? I own the Impact, but i really love the wood stock on any of the air rifles I own. As a matter of fact the Daystate Huntsman Regal XL sits in my living room as the perfect example of beauty of design. Damn you, but, now I lust after the Royale. Keep up the excellent work . I never miss watching your videos :-)

Here in Oregon, I shoot the English sparrow, with .22 birdshot as they try to nest in my bird houses that are reserved for native species. Matt, re the bipod mount on your FX Royal used in this video, did you use the same self tapping swivel stud as shown on your video with the S510 stocks? I have a walnut stock FX Royale 400 and the stock is pretty thin under the carbon air bottle and I was concerned about it being too thin. Great vids btw, your passion for air rifles is infectious 😎
@AirArmsHuntingSA8 жыл бұрын
+Gary A Yes same sling stud. You just have to be careful to use a stud that's short enough, and make sure the threads have a tight grip.

Great video. Here in New Zealand we're now over run by Indian Mynah and in the last few years pigeons have suddenly taken on the role of the "poodles of the sky" by infesting our urban spaces and crapping all over the place. Spur Winged Plovers have bred like crazy too and have finally (way too late IMO) been removed from the list of protected birds. You're welcome to come and blast the hell out of these pests mate.

with my Ruger impact Mach I hit a bottle cap standing up sideways within 10 shots and switching wind at 30 yards I'm pretty proud of myself for that just utilizing the regular 14.3 grain pellets saving my 18.2 grain pellets for squirrel season got to be careful though I don't want the squirrel to explode it would be awfully hard to make a squirrel stew without any squirrel meat. over the year that I've owned it I've become more proficient with it and comfortable with it I have it cited in at 33 yards which is part of the reason why it took me a few more shots to hit that bottle cap not to mention judging hold over with the wind and a few of the shots I was just shooting the bottle like with a backwards pellet completely flattened out the skirt and the pellet never left the other side of the bottle so the energy transfer would have been pretty high and I hit within half an inch of where I was aiming on that bottle with a backwards flying pellet. my next air gun will probably wind up being the Benjamin Bulldog as the FX are guns cost a bit too much and do not seem to have much room for taking the longer mini ball like projectiles and even with are there still wasted potential so being able to go with a heavier projectile can still get you a little bit more power at least that's what it seems was even my Ruger impact Matt which is just a Nitro piston break barrel nothing particularly special but it's a fun little plinker and small game air gun which I am pretty comfortable with at my predestined range of 33 yd with the stock scope.
