This is why that robo-bull thing on the asteroid fell through the floor and the fact that she was able to get all those boon Bank. The whole "Luck" thing was in her head.

light is narrative power, all that comes to relevance. In a story, luck doesnt exist, the writer always knows what a dice roll will come to, vriska wasnt stealing simply luck, she was concentrating relevance in herself

so we know that MC dumping johns mail in the sewer means that the kids never play sburb, a change that rose can detect on some level as indicated by her feeling that something failed to change. i wonder whats gonna happen as a result of this. it seems pretty straightforward but since this is a homestuck game theres definitely gonna be some unforeseeably ridiculous, yet somehow sensible event that occurs later on. i cant wait for the next pesterquest volumes

@@Benilos423 no no, the game copies are there, the MC mentions some envelopes with a green sticker on them. Those are probably the beige ones with the sbub house sticker that everyone gets. It makes sense for meat!John(?) to zap to a dead timeline with all his dead timeline companions. Rose feeling the change probably ties to her light aspect.

Homestuck intentionally obscures trauma by inviting us to laugh at it as just another silly part of the comic's world instead of considering how these events would impact real people. Only later does the facade come crashing down as Homestuck reveals the trauma for what it is. This is this case with Dave's abuse, Jade's and Jake's lonely childhoods, Roxy's drinking, and Roxy's harassment of Dirk. John's entire arc up to this point has been about trying to avoid confronting the trauma he's experienced through sburb. The universe of Homestuck is extremely traumatic for these poor teens and the epilogues further explore the consequences of this trauma being left undealt with in barely functional adults who have been deified as gods
