I have a bag ready for my cat Incase of evac, food, water, bowls and her leach and harness. She’s a great bird and rodent killer so she can provide food if needed.

Many thanks, I been tryin to find out about "bug-out bag contents" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Janameron Tenylan System - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? Ive heard some super things about it and my m8 got amazing success with it.

Good video, but I'm afraid people will think they can make up a bag like that and throw it on their dogs back and he can carry it. Just a quick story about a friend of mine. He used to have a dog pack and it really didn't seem heavy, BUT sadly it was even at less than 10% of the dogs body weight. In a nutshell, dogs are NOT pack animals. Pack animals walk in a slow methodical way on a path, BUT dogs are running and JUMPING and checking out everything all over the place and that small static lightweight pack when he jumps, quickly becomes a heavy shock load to the dogs back. My friends dog jumped about his own height off a log and SCREAMED in pain. We ended up carrying the poor thing out of the woods while it was crying the entire way, and right to the vet, who said the dog had to be put down due to a back injury that could not be repaired. Then, and rightfully so, the vet lit into my friend about being cruel to animals and IF YOU'RE TOO DAMN LAZY TO CARRY A FEW POUNDS FOR YOUR DOG, LEAVE THE POOR THING AT HOME. It was a hard lesson to learn, and when I see videos like this, it just brings back a REALLY bad memory that I do NOT want to see others have to go through....if they care about their dog. Keep up the great work.

Last year there was a huge Wildfire 10 miles from my home caused by fireworks, but I did leave because the air was so bad and went to a friend's home. I honestly don't care too much about myself but I wanted to make sure my pets were safe, they were definitely my highest priority about bugging out. I wasn't a prepper much before 2020, but now I'm planning in advance for all emergencies and making sure my pets are taking care of.

Love it! My Malinois Shadow hiked all over Appalachia and spent weeks at a time in the Rockies with me for almost 14 years. He carried all his essentials in his custom fitted pack. Very similar items except the bowls were lined canvas, and he didn’t have a mask or goggles. I now have a new dog, Bowie, who has yet to see the high lonesome, but we are planning to move to Montana or Idaho next Spring. Bowie has grown to about the same size as Shadow and seems to like wearing the pack.

Great video. I have been wanting to get the dog face mask. The goggles I need to get! I would also add having a hands-free leash option in case. Having them tethered to you in a bug out even if they are walking is a good idea. I also see it as a good idea if by chance you need to sleep or rest outside the hands-free option gives you a ready tie out to secure them to you or to a tree while you get camp ready.

Hi B.B. We live in the Pacific northwest so we are ready to bugout if need be because of a natural disaster. You showed some great ideas for pet owners who are not ready. I like the pet carry idea but I cant do that as my pitties are 75 and 90 lbs so they each have their own backpacks. Now down to brass tacks, we have invested in Wet Noses dehydrated dog food. They are 1oz. cakes and come 12 to a box and only takes 1.5 ozs of water to rehydrate wich gives our dogs food and water in the same serving. We also have kibble ready but it seems to take up alot room is a little heavier then the cakes. Best regards, Jarrod

Good job. My dogs pack is similar. In my own opinion I feel you might have some unnecessary weight, but to each his own. I've got a 60lb pit mix so he's strong enough to carry his own full pack of food, water, etc. Word of caution to those with larger dogs. It's easy to think they can handle the weight but the truth is their backs aren't structured to handle weight like a horse. You can easily injure them if you're not careful.

Could you make a list on the best battery powered pieces of technology and entertainment devices? When the apocalypse hits, there's going to be NO shortage of AA batteries and AAA batteries and so on, at least for a while. So I was wondering if there were any battery powered entertainment devices to pass the time witj and have some chilled fun to escape from the desolation around us. (I'm talking stuff like portable dvd players and Nintendo DS type stuff, not flashlights, just to clarify) I couldn't find any list out there so you would be the first to make such a list, I think. Everyone push this comment so he sees it. I feel like it's an underestimated part of the apocalypse
