My grandfather lives in a old village at a seaside, he keeps these crabs in a fenced garden alongside hermit crabs (coenobuta brevimanus) they went along very well

Interesting how similar their anatomy is compared to a hermit crab. Is it legal to own these and how did you get your hands on one?

They are not only similar to hermit crabs they are in fact hermit crabs but evolutionary they lost their need for a shell. Yes they are legal here and I got it from a European distributor through some contacts
