I read an article sometime in the mid-80s in a music magazine that Neil Tennant wasn't interested in being a singer, but because he was criticized (while he was working as a music journalist) that how would he challenge the singers if he couldn't sing? Therefore, he decided to form his band "The Pet Shop Boys" with Chris to prove that.

I remember this from the first VHS compilation PSB did! And I loved how it was Adam Curry before he came over to American MTV and was still rockin' it in the Netherlands.

It was Inner Space if I remember correctly. Spielberg was a producer on it. The song in question turned into Heart.
