Mudd is a wonderful and unique dog. He is so funny and happy, he just gets a little nervous with truck noise and sometimes other dogs.
I love his rumble! Mudd has a bit of Rottweiler in him and he has a strong Rottie Rumble. He especially loved being dried off after a rainy walk, having his harness taken off, watching the street activity from the window, getting a treat after being outside, and being petted. So he rumbled a lot :)
Mudd needs a two-handed mindful walk, so as to be ready to hold him when he tries to rush after a vehicle and keep him calm and safe when crossing the street or just walking by other dogs. He looked to me for support and I was happy to give it.
It was my true pleasure to meet Mudd and hang out with him and I like to think he enjoyed my company too while his pawrent was away. We became good buddies and I will miss his goofing.
Reactive dogs can be easily misunderstood. I saw a lot of people who were irritated by Mudd's lunging and whining, but I am happy to give a dog like him that support and reassurance. While I was with him, I worked to help him stay calmer and more relaxed with every walk. It is such a wonderful feeling to forge that bond with any animal, but it's a little extra special when a reactive dog adopts you as a trusted hooman.
Thank you Mudd for being a special doggo.
