David Garibaldi of Tower of Power programmed this groove for Lin drum....,,,,and Prince heard it...wrote a tune around this groove..and created 777-9311....for Morris Day and the Time.....stupid great

2 things It was not a live programmed hat. 777 is an actual preset (3-2) in the original LM1- Linn drum machine Great playing sir however the kick pattern is wrong but you are to be commended with your effort :)

Morris Day didn't design anything. He wasn't even present when the song was originally made. Prince laid down guide vocals that Day came in later and redubbed. Know before you say.
