Hello Wendy, We booked this cruise 12 months ago to go with my two sisters in law. Booked via a cruise agent who said that even back then the cruise was almost a sellout. It was doing a circumnavigation trip around Australia, and we picked up the Fremantle to Melbourne leg. Cabin wise, all we could get was a guaranteed balcony for the sisters and a guaranteed window view for us. The girls ended up with an obstructed balcony room. Which was ok...and we got a lower forward deck ocean view room. We really liked out room. It was very roomy and the position was really handy to most things we would head for. I even think our ocean view room was better arranged and maybe larger than the balcony room the sisters in law had. The bed was very comfy. No complaints about our cabin. The buffet food was good, but I'd say that Royal Princess had more choice. The quality was good though. Our Wendy is gluten free, she found enough to eat in the buffet. The main dining room food was ok, but they really don't give you a lot of choice. They really need to have some everyday options like Princess and Royal Carribean provide. They were very good in providing our Wendy with a gluten free meal each night. By choosing from the next nights menu. They really did let themselves down during the afternoon tea in the Queens room though for Wendy. They just plonked one dry old roll with a bit of ham in it and a packed cake and a hard old scone in front of her.. No presentation. Not like what we were provided with.. their silver service afternoon tea. We spoke to the head waiter and they did better for her. I mentioned the Queens Room... it's our favourite room at night to listen to the wonderful singers and band. People watch the ballroom dancing. We love the ship . It's our second time on her. We're lucky enough to be going on her three other sisters next year. I'd better to a video of them. This includes the new Queen Anne. The staff are all great couldn't fault them. Pete.
