Definitely! Somebody who is able to get through on Fox News has so much to teach the entire political pundit class at large. Buttigieg is the rare Democrat who does great here, and he does great in his other appearances on the network, too. (Even Bernie Sanders got good reception in similar circumstances with an audience on Fox News) So many people have become so tribal lately. People who watch Fox News and people who oppose Trump need to recognize that they share some basic common values. And I think Buttigieg gets that. We are all human and simply want our families to prosper. So, for one, we all don't like crime, especially violent crime. But Trump pretends crime was lower in his administration, and also pretended the president even affects the crime rates to any measurable degree. And in other cases, none of us like rapid inflation driving up the cost of goods to survive. But it seems I can't find ANYONE prominent asking the question: What would Trump have done differently had he actually won in 2020? The inflation rate that peaked a year or so ago was global, and the US made it out better than most. What exactly did the president of the US have to do with any of it, good or bad? Unlike Trump, Biden doesn't post on Twitter...X...every time we reached record highs in the stock market. He doesn't brag every time we set a new record for lowest unemployment (and particularly what Trump loved to highlight: the record for lowest black unemployment). Everything Trump brags about was surpassed during Biden's term. But simply because Biden isn't an insane person wanting credit for everything that happens while he is president, people only remember Trump's boasts during his term. From my perspective, as somebody who closely watches (and often participates in) the political discussions happening around the country, Buttigieg seems to be the only high-profile person who has shown himself capable of stating the obvious for all to see. He gives me the most hope that there is a simple way to convey the facts, and that they are not on Trump's side.

@@floridaredneck Probably the only position I would worry about is Sec of Defense. To be honest you need a military background or at least major ties to Defense. It's not impossible for a civilian to do good in Def, it's just highly unlikely. You need to understand how all the systems for all services are created, how they work, how they integrate and how they are implemented. Most civilians have no idea. So that's the one I would worry about, but Sec of State is all diplomacy, and Pete is the epitome of intelligent diplomacy.

You would think those facts would be clear to everyone, wouldn't you? I mean, those are the facts. It really makes no sense to have republican presidents. All they do is create a mess for the next democrat to clean up and the electoral college is clearly swayed in their favor. We get blamed for raising taxes, but when republicans give the rich so many tax breaks and add to the deficit, it takes a democrat to be unpopular and fix it. I'm sure every republican governor stood behind fat checks they got from Biden, acting like it came from them and taking all the credit, when they voted against the infrastructure bill like mine did. Ron DeSantis has taken credit for $ millions he had nothing to do with.
