Oh yes. it's so wonderful! How old is he? What 21, 23..? Did you look like sh*t at that age or something? Most people at that age in the biz have a decent income, look pretty healthy. A parade of people to make it so as he's an investment. People have MONEY invested in him... come on.

Walter Manhead What? He’s a comedian, not a professional athlete. Personally, I’m not a fan of his comedy, but your hate really has you triggered.
@AvaAmarena94
@AvaAmarena94 4 жыл бұрын
Walter Manhead dude he’s 26. He had a traumatic experience with his dad dying during 9/11 and then for years didn’t properly deal with it. He mentioned he was suicidal, which I hope you can agree with, isn’t very healthy. Since he found the help he needed he is doing much better and you can definitely see him being much happier and healthier! And why choose to hate when can love and be supportive of that?
@waltermanhead2249

The hurt of losing a parent when you're a child doesn't go away. I was 12 when my father died in the line of duty. I survived but the pain is still raw. You learn to cope. I have a grandson now whom i cherish. It's such a joy spending time with him...i see glimpses of my father and brother, also deceased. I know that my dad would have adored my daughter and her son. Best Wishes for Pete that he finds his 'love' and has a family of his own. Those babies will be so loved! 💕

Obviously, I cant be sure of this, but usually people being interviewed are given the questions before the interview so that they can prepare answers or reject questions they do not want to answer. It did not appear that he was blind sided by that question.
@incrediblesimilarity5858
@incrediblesimilarity5858 4 жыл бұрын
I have to strongly disagree with the comment about never asking the question how close did you get. Pete's totally honest and transparent answer probably was seen by millions of people. If he came back from the brink, he gave support to many potentially suicidal people in the TV audience. To make any kind of progress against this horrible suicide situation, you must ask any question and give honest answers from the survivors. By not asking the tough questions, you are only adding to sweeping mental health issues and suicide in particular under the rug. This absolutely cannot be done. I trust your comment was honest and well-intended. But you missed the mark. You CANNOT avoid the tough questions in life. Life can be rough at times, and nobody gets out without heartache and tough situations in their lives. Check out REM song Everybody Cries. Their lyrics include "If you think you've had enough of this world, hang on." If this interview made you uncomfortable, then you might possibly need suicide intervention prevention. Too many people love you and respect you, reach out for help if you need it. National Suicide Prevention number 1-800 273 8255. If you agree with this comment, please give me a thumbs up. Thanks! 👍👍

bethmerchy Before an interview, the interviewer and guest go over the questions so as not to blindside the guest. Pete answered that question very fluidly and did not seem at all bothered by it. As a person who's had two attempts and two facility admissions, it doesn't strike me as odd or disrespectful(even if slightly insensitive) if people want to know. They might have never gotten close to it themselves and I would never want to chide someone for wanting to understand another's problems better. Props to Pete for keeping it real(if he was ever truly uncomfortable in an interview, people can just speak up and walk out btw). Facing the discomforting darkness of your decisions, but understanding it was in the past and that you're better now is way better than just shoving it into a box and erasing that from your life.

Pete is one of the best things to happen in a long time. Although I am older than his Dad I relate to his authenticity, his self deprecation, his sadness, his desire to be something but not at the expense of who he is. This man is healing people with his humor and his honesty. Although he may not see what he is doing as the same as his father’s path, his father would be incredibly proud of him. Like all of us he needs to be cautious; when we are at our greatest success, what we think is our happiest, doubt and sabotaging that happiness can be our self destructive tendency. This is why it is important to have people in your life that really care for you and our honest back, but most importantly you have to learn to give yourself and the world a break. It all doesn’t have to be solved in a day. Best of luck Pete in your life’s journey.

Just saw THE KING OF STATEN ISLAND and I really liked it. It wasn't a movie with any heavy handed messages. It was like a story about a guy trying to navigate his way through life having to deal with the normal pitfalls we all have to deal with like life, death, feelings of insecurity and worthlessness, directionless in regards to what to do with your life. It was real and relatable. I'm glad he did this to dedicate to his family. His dad would be so proud of him I think.

He's truly one of my faves. Ever since I started watching his SNL skits and stand up videos a few years ago, I genuinely appreciate what he puts out into the world. I cant wait to see what else he does. I love the conversation he has about mental illness and I love that its brought into the movie💕

Pete has really grown over the years on the show. I noticed this past year or so that he gets into the skits more then he used too. Though, he really has a tough time keeping from laughing. Haha
