My son actually has sent me pics before because he was afraid a spot he had meant cancer he was so worried he couldn't sleep and I had to calm him down. It's totally acceptable when your close to your mother to do that. Heck I'm not even a nurse but my son knows I know more about those things than he does so I told him not to worry and took him to the doc soon after that.
