As a day one Pete supporter, Im very happy for him. Its proof that if you hang in there and keep working, it will pay off. In terms of The Auditorium, nothing but great and it came at the right time. At the time, a lot of people were in shock about some of the evils within the industry being bought to the surface so our ears were thirsting for something to get us through and Pete and Comm delivered. The rollout was so dope. A new single and video every other week leading to the album and then the synergy throughout the album. Their continuity in interviews and you're right. Pete looks happy as can be which made me go back and look at the lasting interviews with him and CL around 2016-17ish...Pete looked over it. Good company really can have a positive outset. I caught the show in Red Bank. What an experience to tie in everything else. Im happy for them both but glad Pete's in a good space.

Absolute facts! The first song I ever heard from him was Go With The Flow from their 1st EP.

After I went to Common + Pete Rock’s performance in Brooklyn, I made it a point to buy a physical album. I haven’t bought records in decades, that’s how much their music moved me. I was about to cop a fly sweater from them, but I slowed that down because I can’t in good conscience drop $100 on a cotton sweater 😆. Ehh…maybe I’ll change my mind in the future.

As much as I would like to see Pete Rock reunite with CL Smooth, this collaboration with Common is definitely deserving of the accolades that it's gained. Now, just imagine if they could go on a run like Nas has done with Hit Boy. Then, just maybe the mainstream would start pushing more lyrical and/or conscious hip hop, instead of the trash they're pushing now.

Super dope album first and foremost. I don’t feel a need to over explain this shit. A good album is what it is.

One of the 3 greatest producers to ever do it with Chicago’s Nas? They weren’t supposed to fail, and they didn’t. They don’t have to win the Grammy(s), but if they do, I’m popping a bottle in my living room. Hip-hop. Forever.
