Drake thought he was going to get a bail out and when that didn’t happen he decided to sue! In hip hop ppl don’t sue. Ppl have said much worse in hip hop battles and didn’t sue the label or or the other artist

We live in an era now where conversations and point of views can be exaggerated or altered due to technology and trendy followers trying to make a buck. Content creators, bloggers, podcast, etc. overanalyze, exaggerate, and miscontrue topics and issues for clicks and of course the money. In the music industry and with the focus on hip-hop, we saw what Napster did to the artistry and artists losing money due to piracy in the early 2000s. Now you got content creators selling wolf tickets by putting out false information to persuade the dumb, deaf, and blind. A.I. will probably make things worse. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of artists lose the heart to continue rhyming or producing in the near future because of technology and more importantly too many ppl using the technology who take the love of hip-hop for granted just to make a quick buck. The Kane's, G. Rap's, L.L.'s, Tribe's, Latifah's, EPMD's, Cube's, KRS's, Compton's Most Wanted's, Wu's, Nas, Souls of Mischief's are important in the history and legacy of hip-hop. 😑 So why do we need the Akademiks, Vlad's, and other BS commentators involved in the legacy when they bring no value to it? I was thinking after typing this that artists and groups from the "Golden Era" will be sadly missed once their time is up. The artists after 2010 won't have the same impact as those who came before them did. Give the praise, homage, and flowers while they're still here. Shout out to Joey Bada$$, K Dot, and J. Cole for being the only real torch bearers of an important and impactful legacy. 👉🏾 '87 to '99.

Lupe Fiasco is working with MIT to perfectAI rap. Lawbrey was a test model, the human precursor - jacking the swag and style of other rappers, employing ghostwriters, utilizing multiple fake accents, exuding a false gangster bravado.

The hip hop commnity really cannot stand NY rappers. Im aware of the resentment but damn, they havent let up for almost 20 years. The fact that joey even has to remind people who he is as an artist when has 10+ years and success in music and TV (like vince staples) and you curtiss king, daylyt, and mick jenkins who is from chicago ganging up is hilarious.

In my opinion the fans and the bloggers are ruining hip hop which is always made to be competitive. Drake and Cole supporters said Kendrick was clout chasing. Now it’s the Kendrick supporters. If you’re a critic or KZbin blogger. It’s an obligation to be unbiased. No matter who your favorite artist is. A lot of these people never got the memo and it’s ruining the music

The MACHINE could not save him; and that’s what he misunderstood!!!!! When there was only a few Big hip-hop reactor on KZbin like academics; but now that everybody can react to the songs, you can’t fake it anymore!!!!!

That’s a great perspective that I have yet to see be expressed. I agree. He did think the fix was in. UMG kinda alluded to this in their response to the defamation lawsuit too. That was a foolish assumption given he was in negotiations for his next contract. And he engaged in a beef with an artist that’s technically doing business with them as well so they couldn’t fix it in good conscience. They ate off the beef entirely by way of both artist. Then Drake sues them because of how the beef went down so they definitely don’t have to pay him as much as he was asking. Even if he leaves after the contract is up, they own the catalog that’s making them the most money anyway. Drake handed them a SUPER win and he’s PISSED. It didn’t matter how the chips fell, UMG is the house and the house always wins.
