Thanks for posting this video. It will be good to see what progress has been made on Leamington since late last year. Once again,thank you.

There has been quite a lot of work done since my last update, mostly on Leamington Spa station....platforms. Hope to get some new footage in the next few weeks. I don't think there will be trains running, it will be the guy's working on the layout. Thank you for your comment.

Dave a fantastic compilation of all the best bits and I can just imagine that it would not have been easy to do. Glad some of your classic angles made it through the directors cut as I all enjoy those. Thanks for the share and have a wonderful week.

Many thanks once again for your wonderful comments, I really do appreciate it. Hope to get some new material soon (next month), but I don't think Pete Waterman will have any trains running. It will be an update on all that has been done on the layout over the winter, and there has been a lot of work done. Cheers for now, and I would like to wish you all the best.

Happy New Year Dave! Another superb half hour of entertainment. You ask black and white or colour...I like both. The black and white gives a wonderful nostalgic feel whereas the colour allows us to see in detail all the work that has been carried out. My preference would be 75% colour. Cheers, Bob

Many thanks Bob, and a very Happy New Year to you. I am very pleased the video entertained you for half an hour, and for detailing your preference with Black & white / colour. As always, many thanks for your comment....appreciated.

Thank you Dave for this compilation video! Consistantly well edited as always. Makes it so much more watchable this time. However,I do tend to agree with M.Ferendeci and his comment about the memorabilia being a distraction and perhaps it could be re-sited to a less dominant position. Otherwise, all is brilliant. Thank you for your compliment on my editing, it is appreciated. The nameplates do get in the way, and try to avoid them as much as possible. But they are there to stay, and have NO intention in asking Pete Waterman to move them elsewhere. If I did that would be the end of me visiting the layout.

OK Dave, understood. Thanks. Keep up the good work ! Bob.

I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO SEE MORE OF AVENUE STATION (that I knew very well catching trains to Kenilworth with my grandparents) AND DMUs COMING IN FROM STRATFORD AND SNOW HILL AND THEN CHANGING PLATFORMS TO RETURN THERE.I ALSO REMEMBER THE BLUE PULLMAN. THANKS. ANYWAY ITS AMAZING.

Smashing! A lovely compilation Dave, some of those black and white shots are very period looking....I wonder if theres an '8mm cine' colour filter, it would be proper 1960's looking footage then. As with previous comments, those wonderful nameplates etc do fill the background, but...there are a lot worse things to fill the background with!
@DaveCooper36b7 жыл бұрын
The colour filter sounds a good idea, maybe I may look in to that....but thank you for the idea, and your comment. Those nameplates were there before the layout, and not going anywhere.

An interesting "heading" to the video as to how one interprets the "Best Bits " of Pete Waterman . But the Video is certainly good (smile)
@DaveCooper36b7 жыл бұрын
Just a bit of fun on my part, giving it a musical theme which Pete Waterman is a Dr. for. Thank you for your comment.

Many thanks for doing all the Videos. It is a pleasure to see the layout and how you supremely display it to its very best. The only drawback is it so upsetting that my layout does not look so good. My best wishes to all.

Fantastic Dave - thanks for delving into the archive for this. Just a thought - if you have the time (and the inclination) would it be possible to have a compilation of locos fitted with sound please? I think it adds another dimension to all the brilliant scenery. Cheers, Brian

Another high quality video, I could watch them all over and over again, is the layout open to public with notice or invitation?
@DaveCooper36b5 жыл бұрын
This is a very long shot, but you could try and ask for an invitation here: www.petewatermansleamingtonspa.com/video I do not promise anything...then it is not up to me. Good luck.

An amazing and gorgeous layout! I try to watch every update on KZbin. One comment: is there any way to move the prized nameplates on the wall to a different place, perhaps a different room away from the layout? I understand the value of such memorabilia (both nostalgic as well as tangible), but I think displaying them on the background walls of such a magnificently modeled layout is distracting to the viewer and subtracts from the overall magnificence of the work on the layout itself. Looking forward to all future videos.
@DaveCooper36b7 жыл бұрын
I have already replied to a similar comment, and I would not dare to suggest to Pete Waterman to move his prized nameplates to a different location. If that were to happen, I would still have the breeze blocks to contend with. But many thanks for your comment...and the idea...but it will not happen.
