to anyone who sent death threats to Pete, for being on SCD...SHAME ON YOU. Pete danced with his whole heart and soul, every week. He is a total novice, who fell in love with dance. He does NOT deserve the nasty, snarky, hateful comments that keyboard warriors leave him. Pete IS mr. Strictly this year...well done him ❤

I can’t help but like Pete. He’s not the best dancer by any stretch, but he gave his all week in week out. From where he started, he improved dramatically. I’ve actually really enjoyed watching his journey.

You see, it's more than just the technical steps on Strictly. If it was a competition between hundreds of Ballroom professionals you would be marking technicals, even if the dancers were boring. But, Pete is far from boring. He can bring 'Hollywood' and steamy vulnerability and tenacity. He can really play a dance role with drama, or be fun/cheeky, and also take the masculine lead with passion. He always tells the story so well. Foxtrot is hard, and he did very well. Posture superb. Even in hold! I can't get over how Pete Wicks has blossomed, away from just the boring 'Reality' humdrum. Whatever happens on Strictly, do more acting Pete. Blossom even more. Get yourself a Private Detective drama role? And take over Alison's role at Battersea!!

Pete really surprised me tonight, the footwork wasn't brilliant and he could have had more of an dynamic feel with his lines out of hold, but his frame and the cane work and the fact he actually smiled at times was amazing. 8/10

Pete always looks like he needs a little more time to make the routine his own. He carefully does everything Jowita told him to do but he is too tense to look natural.

I will miss Pete for me he already won the show he should be proud of himself for coming so far in strictly wrong choice for going home Tasha should have gone home but now Chris should win the show Pete and Chris are my favorites so now Chris should win it i will miss watching Pete and jowita dancing together it's really 😢 that people hate Pete and want him out of strictly he was really trying his best

I loved seeing Pete learn to dance...Tasha would always have beaten him in a DO- although not ballroom or Latin, she's a trained dancer. Pete wasn't. I think it has made what he achieved that bit more special. It's sad that some of the viewers decided to tear him down- he wasn't there to be abused! Pete is an absolute champ for his dedication, bravery, and charisma ❤

He is somehow getting by on looks alone. The judges should be unbiased but Shirley and her mate on the left make it obvious they see him as a sexual object and vote accordingly. Mind you with his track record Shirley at least is in with a chance. I wonder when they are going to do a Greg Wallace in the Strictly panel?

Next is Pete Wicks and Jowita Pzystal dancing their first dance The Foxtrot. This dance was very classically sweet, Pete's dancing is still a little wooden but do you know what who cares you could see all the emotion in Pete's face tonight he desperately wanted to get his dancing right I think he did himself proud, who cares what the judgers say, yes there the ones who are professions but I think the judgers forget that SCD isn't about who is technically the best SCD is about who is the viewers sweetheart and this year it's been Chris and Pete, I hope Pete and Jowita get to the final because they are such a good pair and very real and honest, love to Pete and Jowita.

Maybe he's not the best dancer here but in my opinion it's not all about the technique and scores .. he fell in love with dance, he made a strong bond with Jowita .. you can feel the energy, loveliness and the chemistry .. he improved so much .. i loved this dance, and i felt such a good feeling throughout the dance .. well done Pete and Jowita ❤

Our scores: Me: 7 Diya: 8 Kelsey: 8 Owen: 8 31/40 Not too shabby! I liked the style, again another side of Pete we haven’t seen is this debonair showman. He didn’t drop the cane (I was on the edge of my seat waiting for it to fall 😮‍💨). His footwork is obviously far from perfect but he didn’t go wrong so it was better than last week, but still unfortunately not semi final standard.

Score - *8* As Bessie says, glazing from Shirley, i wish she would stop judging him based off her hormones and start judging him off his dancing, if i was on the panel i would probably do the same for Gorka and Nikita so i'm just a big hypocrite but when you're prime time championship of latin judging you need to reign it in a bit 😂😂😂 this was one of Pete's better dances, he felt the theme of Foxtrot, his frame is so much better this week, a good attempt at the three step which was nice and in general I thought his leading skills were really good. Footwork got ploddy at times and abit of gapping (quite abit at times 😬) but I did like this one

Seems strange to me. Pete consistently out scored JB with the public vote week after week. yet this week It goes down to JB vs Pete and Pete ends up in the dance off and JB in the final? Then they didn't even need to bother dancing the dance off as the judges have constantly scored Pete low, so it was obvious where they choice would go.

Pete is lovely and gave it a good go but it was far from perfect unfortunately. The fact that Shirley scored this 2 points higher than Jamie’s Foxtrot (which had perfect footwork) is embarrassing on her behalf. She needs to sort herself out as she looks like a right desperado.

This was a bit wooden. Pete needed to loosen up in hold. He looks like he's too busy wondering if he's doing the dance right, which I understand. Agree with Craig, it was a bit robotic and it did lack dynamic. It was never a 9, or an 8, it was a 7. He got one mark less than Chris did for his Charleston - that makes a mockery of Chris's fab routine. I really like Pete, I've voted for him many times, but I am also interested in fairness. Shirley makes exceptions for him that she shouldn't be making. She says she isn't comparing him to the others, she only compares him to his previous dances when she scores him, but she SHOULD compare him to the others - it's a competition, he's not dancing by himself. Shirley favours Pete, and she's overscored him a few times - it's not fair.

Yeah, that was good. No big, egregious and obvious mistakes. Got better, surely. At first, his top half was quite stiff and awkward, even if the top line was impeccable. Robotic, as Craig said. But, as Anton said, his performance out of hold is so stylish. I accept this getting a 7, just wish Shirley would stop glazing him.

I also noticed that the cameras weren’t focused on his feet *at all* for large sections of the dance, especially the second half. I found that rather interesting….Even if the viewer at home wanted to better see what his footwork was like, you simply COULDN’T, as they were primarily zoomed in on the upper half of his body!

I enjoyed this dance despite the special visual effects, but I might have enjoyed it more without then. WHY do the producers do this?!

Yes, sometimes less is more. And I'd rather not have my imagination controlled by cgi. JB"s set, cgi, was even more over the top too. Very distracting from the dance. Less cgi is definitely better during the dance. We have that wonderful human thing, called imagination!
