To be honest, consider the show's position. It can either end the way it did, or continue forever in the knot. Most viewers would be upset with the latter because that would mean over 3 years and 3 seasons, nothing changed. With episode 7, you can imagine the ending you want and it would still work without the knowledge of episode 8. This way, even if it's not the ending you wanted, it is enjoyable and makes sense rather than splitting the fanbase in two.

I think the mistake Adam and Eve made, was in underestimating Claudia. The triquetra is the most important symbol in the show and there are three travellers, Adam, Eve and Claudia. Now Adam and Eve are entangled in knot, Claudia is not. Adam represents the prime world where he exists, Eve represents the mirror world where she and her son exist but Claudia the third traveller, often ignored by everyone represents the original world, where she exists. They ignore her so much that Eve doesn't notice it when prime Claudia replaces mirror Claudia because then her blue and brown eyes would have switched places. But Eve doesn't pay attention because she things it's a fight between her and Adam and completely disregards Claudia's significance beyond a pawn. She was infact equal to both of them, and the only one capable of looking beyond her own plan and agenda and see the bigger picture. Edit: I'm wrong about the switching of eye colour. Both Claudia are identical and would have the same eye color in the prime world. Both when in mirror world, would have switched eye colors. This is proven by the switching of the scar on the unknown's face when he travels between the two worlds and also the switching or Martha's scar depending on which world she is in.

Claudia turned out to be my favourite character. Her journey is incredible. In seasons 1 and 2 we thought she was the counterpart to Adam. Then at the beginning of season 3 we learn that Eve/Eva is actually Adam's counterpart. Then it looks like Claudia was Eva's pawn all along (being directed by alt-Claudia). But then there is the twist (one of the best of the whole show imo) that she kills alt-Claudia and becomes a double agent. She "outplays" both Adam and Eva and is the only one figuring it all out. She goes on to saving everyone by instructing Adam after he realized that he was wrong all along.

@JoJoKiwi I dont consider Egon as a failed investigator. Even though he might have been a drunken moron at the end he fairly calculated that something unusual related to time was happening. We should remember apart from older Claudia's visit he didnt have much of clues that it was related to time travel. He was able to figure out relationship between Ulrich and Mikkel. Even when they ran for the caves we should remember he was the one who asked everyone to go there. Finally the biggest puzzle he solved was his death figuring that Claudia already knew and something wasnt right in the caves. For me Egon did a fairly good job. There’s an aspect I think you missed. Regina is cancer free because the nuclear plant never existed. Why? So if he doesn’t exist, neither does the plant, which could be the reason why Regina had cancer in the first place.

And perhaps the power plant is all he had. You met his wife Greta the iceberg, and he most likely came to realize that helge wasn't his son. And in the origin world he had Claudia and Regina. Jismon Thomas I think while Adam and Eve were too eager and only thinking about outsmarting the insignificant other, they have been thinking too dichotomous (as jonas has had a history of) they’ve been ignoring that there are always 3 parts (as seen in the sic mundus/erit luv emblems). Claudia however, not being part of the chess Adam and Eve have been playing, saw the whole picture and must have concluded that there has to be a third world, an origin world. She was the only one who was thinking Trichotomously the whole time.
@hetashri82784 жыл бұрын
@@rahulkathayat8542 Jonas and Martha finally let go of their worlds thereby erasing their existence which was essential to fix the split. They were in the loop because they were holding onto the things and not able to let go. HG Tannhaus and Claudia couldn't let go of their dead children and eventually split got fixed in origin world and thereby preventing the death of Regina and Marek. Entire series concluded to the point when Jonas and Martha learned how essential letting go was. Those who let go died for those who couldn't let go. It's a moral paradox.

The season was definitely a masterpiece !! The only thing I'm still kinda mad about is that they didn't talk about Boris'/Aleksander's background story. I know that the producers said that not all the questions will be answered and I think that's totally fine to a certain extent (eg. who Peter's mother is, would've liked to know but it wasn't necessary and they never really hinted at it). Concerning Boris tho, they constantly made references to it. They even created the character Clausen just for that I believe? Like who sent Clausen the letter? What's he got to do with this, what does Boris have to do with Clausen's brother? Why would they include all this if they didn't wanna reveal it?

Claudia was the REAL Glitch in the Matrix !! I think Claudia, at one point in the loop somewhat managed to break from it (like a random quantum fluctuation that allowed it) and traveled to the past and hidden somewhere new pieces of information that she would read later on, that allowed her to improve a little bit each iteration (like a self improving AI algorithm), finally in the last iteration, when she gathered enough to find the true origin, she comes to Adam and set in motion the STOP criteria for the entire loop. I'm writing this as a person who spent the last couple of years studying Evolutionary Algorithms and from a programmatic point of view. I think Claudia was the real Glitch In The Matrix, as she managed somewhat to elude the loop and improve herself. Edit: Many of you might wonder how the loop break was produced. Somewhat in the infinity of the loop, a freak random quantum fluctuation (given enough time, an exact copy of yourself can appear out of just quantum fluctuations) allowed her to gain the information she needed to start gathering informations each iteration. The infinity loop breaked with the quantum fluctuation, thus requiring several more loops until the completion.

He makes the time machine, but splits his reality into two alternate timelines. In each of these timelines, his children/grandchild are/is dead, but (skipping a ton here), Jonas und Marta gehen in die Ursprungswelt, um siene kinder vor dem sterben zu retten. Thus, people who were dead in both worlds are alive in the origin world, at the end.

She had the memory, because they were physically standing in the timeline, she remembered. Just like Adam would say the whole spiel about I never thought this moment would be repeated the same way, me listening to my older self, and couldn't understand how I would want what he wanted. Noah did the same with young Noah. Eva did the same with Martha. And yes it would continue in and on. But for them stopping tannhaus from destroying his world, and splitting it in two. But this is definitely not a clean ending. In HG Wells The Time machine, The Man created the time machine so he could go back in time and save his fiancee life. Everytime he saved her she always did in different horrific death. Her death made him devote every waking hour to succeed in creating the time machine. If she wouldn't have died, he wouldn't have been able to dedicate himself fully to the task. It's a paradox. So kinda same in dark, I wouldn't be to harsh because I admire the writers and love the show. But in essence tannhaus succeeded in saving his family, the time machine worked, but not by his hand, it was others who saved them, possible correlation to Jonas not being able to kill himself... Idk. But it kinda leaves things open. Just because they saved then, doesn't mean they still won't die . And then begin again, idk. I would love to see more. I understand why they wanted 3. But maybe 5 years down the line, they can do a series called Light, I leave the creating to the amazing writers.
@rupsa94324 жыл бұрын
two things: 1) i think the spacetime bridge connecting the 3 worlds for a moment was independent of time, kind of timeless, just like the centre of a black hole. so maybe the part where jonas and martha saw their childhood versions waa just to show the connection between them. or maybe you're right, maybe even here there's a split in reality and the loop is still going on in a different reality. this show has infinite possibilities. 2) the end where jonas and martha managed to prevent the accident and stop time travel from happening in the first place is DEFINITELY a paradox/dual reality thing. because remember, they went back to the origin world WITH time travel. so they needed time travel to prevent time travel. so in one reality tannhaus' family died and he created the time machine which led to both worlds being created, and in another reality jonas and martha managed to stop the accident and remove all existence of time travel before it was even invented.

Vincent Arceo Just as Heisen berg said, Hannah named our Jonas “Jonas” because she liked the name. It makes sense that she would name her firstborn “Jonas” as she likes the name. It’s as if you wanted to name your future child “John”, but in an alternate universe you marry somebody else and so the child would not be the same, but would still have the name name because you like the name.

@ Hannah have to be married to mikkel for Jonas to be married and bartoz and silja have to marry in the beginning of the 1900 in order for the Nielson family to flourish these two things have to happen in order for our Jonas and Martha to be born.Adam says to Eva that we are the mistake implying they have to(Martha and Jonas) have to be erased in order for others to live .Also Claudia says to tronte that she wished for a long time that he was regina's father but it is better this way because tronte will not be born because in the original world Nielson family will not exist so if Regina was trontes daughter then she will not exist in the original world.also the end as I suggested in the earlier comment Hannah will name her son Jonas but it will be a different person.just like in the real world multiple people exist with the same name but they are not the same personI think the ending is bittersweet in the sense that apocalypse is stopped but many of the characters we love throughout the show have been erased from existence . Katherina could name her future daughter Martha but just like in the case of Jonas it will be a different person with the name Martha

I was blindsided by claudia family tree to the fact that she and her parents were unaffected by the time travelling paradox. Orginally Claudia would have exist in alternate realities without having time traveling affected it. The writers derive our focus from her to Adam and Eva / Jonas and Martha at the same time making old claudia look ''weak'' untill mid season 3. Neat trick. That was really smart and unexpected. On the side note, tanhaus being the creator of the time travelling mechanism was expected of but didnt know they were gonna pull it off untill then end of season 3 which was great . Since tanhaus was the smartest character followed by Claudia he should realistically create the ''origin''. FYI for ppl who dont get it Tanhaus begin making the time machine right after Claudia was born so in simpler terms whoever in the shows born after the time machine are the product of it.

I found it interesting how the tragedy of H.G. losing his family in a car accident on a bridge is echoed in both the light and dark worlds. I imagine how satisfied I could be with a dark ending in which Martha and Jonas are the reason for the accident of the Tannhausfamily in the origin world 🤔 Things I do not get: Why was Egon send back to alternate Hannah by Eve? And how could old Claudia survive to appear in the last episode to explain it all to Adam? Besides this I am satisfied how they end the series, even if the writers gave it a „Lost“ turn by creating the origin world. So all the actions of the two worlds do not matter at all. But I have to admit I do not know how to make it better.

Since in Eva's world everything would happen as in Adam's but not necessarily in the same way or at the same time, I'd guess that Egon would play the same role (being Hannah's lover and Silia's father) but in a different way/time - this time by knowing he'd do so.But that's just a guess, based on what we saw in Eva's world. Other things happened differently as well, eg Ulrich meeting the adult Helge instead of the child - yet the result was the same. In Claudia's case, I think that it has to do with quantum entanglement. So at some point Claudia makes a choice, so that her path is split at two: in one she is killed by Noah, in the other she's the version that explains it all to Adam. Just as happened with Jonas and alt-Martha who both have two versions each and one of them is killed.

@@katerinapap7802 there isnt multiple claudias, the scene in season two where she dies happens after she explains everything to adam
@katerinapap78024 жыл бұрын
@@HarryMoho But her death couldn't happen after that. Remember, when Noah kills her, Adam is still on the "wrong" side, believing that he can break the loop by killing pregnant Martha. And in the end, this version of Claudia isn't killed, she disappears as everyone.. Or am I missing sth?
@HarryMoho4 жыл бұрын
@@katerinapap7802 she tells adam how to break the loop but then travels back to a time before she's told adam this. thats why he doesnt know yet. and she dissapears because every character in every time period dissapears, thats why we see adam dissapear but also the stranger dissapear

Hey Pete, I figured out that book the journey through time by HG TANHAUS was written in the origin world and somehow traveled to the mistaken worlds. Everything has an beginning or orgin now so why not the book too have its origin. And it was written in the origin world because HG TANHAUS is a real scientist thin the origin world. What do u think on this?
@Joylibelle4 жыл бұрын
Pawan Aggarwal Good point. The book writing and being occupied with science, was the reason Tannhaus and his son were enstranged/reconciliated.

Hey man, thanks so much for this and all the other Dark videos you've put out! Such an amazing show, can't wait to watch it again!

But doesn't the fact that there are always two different paths to take indicative that the loop is actually still preserved in a reality and the finale was us viewing the timeline where the loop is closed? The fact that Martha remembers seeing Jonas in the tunnel from when she was young shows that this has happened before and was not the first time as Claudia believed.

Same here man. The ending's growing on me with time. Was waiting for your video. Great Job.🙌 P.S: I keep wishing Peter Doppler and Boris Niewald(Aleksander) were also included into the time travel loop.😅😂

1, The fact that Ulrich wait for Kathatina is so heart breaking 2, At the end Tannhaus holds his granddaughter whose name is Chaelotte (i read a lot of comment and i didnt find one about this) and they show her real close and her eyes kinda similar to the Charlotte so maybe there is a chance that Jonas will born (in a normal way or you know) maybe charlotte too and some od the characters 3, the endinf was everything, when Adam and Eve put their head together than hug is everything and the hand hold and ofc the song😍 Please someone write something cause im so curious if someone have notice the same thins

I thought it was an interesting parallel with Hannah wanting to name her child Jonas. Didn't Tannhaus's daughter-in-law say they hadn't named the child yet, and Tannhaus himself suggested the name Charlotte?

Great show that delivered on its premise and hit it's marks, alot for other shows to learn for a complex narrative to be told so well without resorting to cheap explanations that are not earned
