This was fucking awesome, Burn It is my favourite Nickelback song and that riff is absolutely killer so I absolutely love this, plus Otu always kills it with his covers so this was great. Good shit, Pete
@jeffreymartinez5829Күн бұрын
It's always epic to get a full song. Even more epic to get a song with an extra element like vocals (which were awesome). Then...what's beyond epic for getting to see all the pieces that went into forging the song (the plugins and musical process) on top of it all? I don't know, but it's for sure epic. Great job, dudes!!

@kasperkauhanen4420Күн бұрын
Sick stuff! I think the solo section was the most Meshuggah. The rest of the song carried, necessarily, in my opinion, a lot of the DNA of the original Nickelback song which means it just doesn't have the menace of your typical Meshuggah song. Maybe reminds me a little bit of Inmazes era VOLA moreso than Meshuggah.
@pakoti96Күн бұрын
Yeah, the instrumental was a lot djentier than the original but the vocals were surprisingly subpar. Not an easy task though, so kudos to Moon for participating at all.

Awesome work, great mix! Just my 2 cents, moving the snare hit around in the rhythm of some sections of the song would add to the Meshuggah feel.

So weird, as amazing as this was to have done, it actually strangely doesn't translate as well to this style in a full song.... Edit: And the middle section hit and things went wild. The slight transitions and riffs work sooooo much better after that weird bridge thing. Wasn't sold at first then it went hard. Great job!!!

Very good reimagining of the song! One idea I have that I'm curious how it could turn out, is playing it in a different mode, with keeping the same chord progression and everything, just to match the Meshuggah feel, since Nickelback's is more uplifting and high energy compared to Meshuggah being more grim
