When I saw "with no notes" I really thought this would be filled with percussive sounds. Muted strings, slapping, hitting, scraping, pick-up selector clicking, all that goodness. :D
@romanthegambler69669 ай бұрын
if you turn up the gain and boost the volume to the max, you can just smack the ody at certain points and that would make the strings vibrate, making a very vibeful ambient sound

Man, I LOVE groove metal songs and riffs. This was killer. These challenge vids you do are a ton of fun. I still recall the "sugar" Meshuggah vids you did back in the day. Maybe do another vid like that but you do the sound effects with more modern items like a vacuum or an electric shaver? That could lend to some industrial metal madness! Regardless, great vid, dude. Looking forward to more.

Awesome! Didn't know what to expect with that title lol, but you created a really awesome song with limiting the frets. I love bends, slides, and harmonics (the latter especially!), and I love how creative you got with different techniques. Gojira sometimes bends the whole neck (Amazonia chorus, TWOAF intro riff) instead of whammy bar, that is a missed opportunity

Is that because the fret job on the harley benton cut your fingers ? i had one R458 multiscale and first song i played my fingers were bleeding... I'm sure the quality inproved since the frist release but , i don't know , would love to see it in real life but i'm really disapointed with my last order from them , do you think it got better now ? Thanks , and always , Awesome song man ! Cheers from France !
@peteplaysmusic9 ай бұрын
Thanks! And yeah, I’ve had no problems with the frets on this so far. The only issue was that the nut was a little sticky and grabbed the strings too much. It was easily fixed with graphite from a pencil to lube it though. This guitar is closer in quality to the Amarok series which are really great. Not tried one of the R458’s in a few years but I remember them being very cheap. This one though is much better :)

how is called the things that gojira always do?
@peteplaysmusic9 ай бұрын
I don’t think there is a name for it. I just call it the Gojira Scrape. You mute the strings with your fretting hand and then rake across the strings towards to with your picking hand. It’s kinda like a muted harmonic sweep :)
