I graduated not long ago, and the one thing I can say about highschool teachers is that there are some groups of kids that get away with abhorrent amounts of emotional abuse on teachers. I've seen kids break a teachers old valued items, make fun of her dead husband and trade of 50 years, and she still put on a smile for them and everyone just treated it like it all was okay. They made her cry and have mental breakdowns and she was judged and teased relentlessly for it as an old woman, along with basically all teachers of all ages (ESPECIALLY FEMALE)- but the big thing was that in the moments someone needed to discipline they wouldn't because it was "too much paperwork" "too much drama" or it'd piss off another teacher who liked that student. The abhorrent student issues literally turned into teacher issues because the students and teachers both take sides, so by the time I graduated, it was war. The conservative kids and teachers and gayer kids and teachers had committed many hate crimes against each other and the school is quickly falling into drugs and sexual depravity, it's been known for 70 years as a good small highschool. It seems to be like this everywhere I go, and it seems to actually be hitting middle schoolers the worst. I'm so sorry everyone

NOT TO MENTION THE CURRICULUM. The way my school INTRODUCED the new curriculum also went along with this: "we get our funding from the district, if you all don't pass these tests, we will lose funding soon" the way they treated us when they taught us nothing and then we didn't pass that test. The amount of hate from the super high ups for us being stupid was crazy, but they blame the teachers. The one mfs who actually try here. Students literally see teachers, NOWADAYS, especially in highschool, as either a therapist and replacement parent or a complete enemy to be shamed and conquered and made fun of. Theres a lot of kids and teachers that try but they're starting to get shamed and made fun of too, and the work is becoming incomprehensible for those who want to work. It's happening now that kids and teachers who show initiative and good promise are shunned and told to shut it by others. Kids don't get disciplined so all the other kids literally just have to listen to kids yap all day about their drama or just argue with the teacher, nothing gets done. It's random. My condolences to all y'all, just typin oit my experiences thank you for reading all this lol
