When Peter Criss layed down on his hotel bed and begged GiGi to hold him, that makes him seem like the weakest big fragile crybaby I've ever heard of. Peter never had the temperament and emotional intelligence for the long haul with the Kiss organization. Always whimpering like a sissy about his arms aching. Eric Singer was the best replacement they could find, Eric sings better, Eric has the physical stamina to perform without calling for his mommy, and most importantly , Eric is a much more cohesive bandmate. Eric doesn't fuss like a little girl over trivial matters unlike Peter Criss who made all bandmates miserable because of his childlike pettiness.

What's more, I remember that a video like these I put something like this: as the band grew, Peter and Ace continued, in their minds, believing that they played in a bar and pub band. And when you're not up to what the band requires, you have to step aside. Some criticized me for writing that, but no matter how ugly, rough, ruthless and a few more qualifying adjectives they want to put, that's the truth: you have to step aside.

Paul criticizes Peter. Peters says yeah that true . But I did that because they did this. . It really comes down to 4 people that can’t get along. At least one or two people who don’t have the tools to resolve their problems in a healthy way. Peter tried to act tough and probably makes disagreements worse. When people are not getting along . Everything gets under your skin and every small thing turns into big things.

I was at that show where they filmed the Shout It Out Loud video. I remember it was actually a crowd of 48,000. Sold out in like an hour in a half. We paid $38 for each ticket, $10 to park. They had T shirts for sale for $40.

If Kiss would have disbanded in 1980 it wouldn't have made a difference in the reunion tour. Paul and Gene are full of crap to think 1981 through 1995 Kiss is why we went to the shows. Myself and others divorced Kiss in the late 80's but then the regrouping of 70s Kiss came about and sparked our interest again. For the record I saw the Crazy Knights show, Hot In The Shade, Revenge/Alive 3 show. Missed Psycho Circus, then I saw the real Farewell show in Phoenix AZ. But no more.

Kiss new music in the 80's brought new fans in. I was like 12 when Heavens on Fire came out, I bought the album Animalize, didnt know much about the original band and the make up era. I had friends buy VHS tapes of old concerts, we would sit there and watch the shows. I quickly fell in love with the original line up, seeing the original line up in make up became a dream of mine. When the reunion tour came out, I went and seen them 3 times, it was a amazing. I love the original line up, but the 80's line up brought me in, I'm sure there are others like me.

Fuck, listen to ANY of Ace's solo work. KISS or no, that dude tapped into something that is CLEARLY all his. He likes to use "Fractured Mirror" as a motif for little bits of guitar melodies I can only describe as "free association", and the last one I heard seriously turned my head 90 degrees in whiplash disbelief at how completely original and immaculately composed it was. Like any true rock prodigy, Ace does things on "Ace Time", and that's just the fucking way it goes. KISS gave him an outlet, some structure, and a quest for greatness. In turn, he delivered, bred an entire generation of rock guitarists, and stayed in KISS far longer than he should have. Would YOU get excited about following Paul and Gene's whims of fancy in the studio from "Dynasty" forward? Disco and shitty concept albums? Yeah, me neither.

Nope. He was good until 1978. Great drumming on the first 6 studio albums, and the drum solo on Alive is legendary. Also listen to the drums on Nothin To Lose on Alive, especially during the guitar solo. Or the fast tom fills on Parasite on Alive. Not technically the best, but definitely a very good rock drummer. I think everything went downhill around 1978
