Peter Erskine accompanies other musicians as well as any drummer I've ever heard. I just picked this album up, I love Peter Erskine and his nephew seems like a great and humble player. Hope there's much more to come, I haven't been this excited for an Erskine album since the Dave Carpenter days

Thanks for the kind words! Peter isn't my dad, tho.. He's my uncle. We never lived together but I did get to see him play quite a bit growing up. Very lucky indeed!!

Amazing, thanks a lot for your excellent performance and contribution to the world of art. Especially now. I am isolated in southern Europe because of the Corona-virus. And "thanks" to that I have got a lot of time to spend, discovering and rediscovering music. For example, Gino Vannelli that I have not listened to in 20 years plus. And who shows up there? Once again, thanks a lot for everything! It is very inspiring and it is so important from all aspects.

@littledrummer16 I think that's his "left side ride". It's a cymbal he developed with Zildjian, I think..

Hey this was just absolutely wonderful. My only question is what cymbal is Peter using on left side right above the hi-hats. thanks

@JeroB666 I was using a little practice amp of Peter's. What you are hearing in the video is the sound of that bass direct (We ran an XLR out of the back of the amp). That bass records SO well...

Nope. fretted Skjold Design 4 string. I use a lot of vibrato and glissando's, which can make it sound fretless
