Andy on James Robinson's channel and his own today, quite the double dose. Based on the first hole, you're definitely in Open qualifying form (?). Always fun to watch you and Pete play together. Thanks for sharing!

As a high handicapper (18 index), I'm not flag hunting. I'm playing to the middle of the green 90% of the time and I always want to know the yardage to carry the front, especially if there's a bunker or water. So a GPS Phone App or Watch is a much better option than a range finder...for my game.

I lean towards my watch. However I use both. I look at the front middle and back numbers on the watch then shot the flag on the approach to determine where the flag is on the green in relation to those numbers on my watch. Then I usually duff it and measure everything again. 😂

I actually use both. My watch will give me info like hole layout and yardage to landing areas to clear things like bunkers and water. My rangefinder tells me exactly where the pin is located. So coupled with my watch giving me front, middle and back of the green yardages I'm able to get a very good idea of what club and what type of shot to use. Absolutely loving the content with Finchy lately!!! Hope the family is doing well good sir, cheers from the States!!!

Loved the bant guys - very entertaining - and some great shots - Finchies' Eagle was amazing! I've just hit the point of being ready for a range finder as a relative newby to the game and can now see how my game could benefit; I'm short sighted so don't need my glasses to play, but do to read anything smallish - not sure if a watch will have big enough numbers for me - I've seen one that clips on to your trolley and has a big digital display (Bushnell I believe) and am thinking that may be the best option for me.
@markstuder Жыл бұрын
Fun to watch you two play as always. I have used them all and have ended up with the Bushnell Phantom 2. Great price plus it pairs with a phone app giving you a picture of the hole that you can tap anything and get yardage on the phone. Great if you have never played the course. The only downside is It has a magnet so you can put it on the post of the golf cart, and it very easy to forget it when you are running to the 19th hole!! Get yours's today at the nearest lost and found at a golf course near you.🤣

Anyone who's used a GPS know the readings are usually off, sometimes by quite a bit. The laser may have a +/- 3 but that's preferable to the GPS error. I use both, but rely more on the laser to shoot targets, and they will always differ. JM2C

Lazer will always beat a watch if your handicap is below 6. GPS watches are not that accurate. So if you have 110 yards to the pin and need to carry a bunker which is 100 yards away you can shoot it no problem. GPS watches help on blind shots

Speaking of range finders or people with a lack of distance control, nothing more head shaking then the golfer who pulls out the range finder for that 20 yd shot up hill to the pin? Now believe it or not I played with a golfer who pulled it out on long putts, I said to him do have a feeling for putting (laughing) he said “Seriously” Oh ya I’m a feel putter once I know the yardage???. It’s like all tech if your relying on it for every shot you’ll loose your feeling for a golf shot! It’s useful on a course your not familiar with but when you play 70 rounds at your home course do really need any range finder or watch? But hey you payed 350.$ might as well use it!!! Now here is an ask do a video on showing people how to rake a bunker, proper repair of a ball mark, divot repair or replacement some course info!!
