I have not heard or seen every single live concert of the rock era, but the ones that I have Frampton Comes Alive is the best ,hair raising ,spine tingling live electric guitar work I have ever heard! No one since has reached that level of brilliance some 46 years later. The tone of Mr Frampton's Les Paul is perfection in my opinion!

I remember seeing that black Les Paul with the white binding which had a patina of age on it setting on a stand onstage before the show . This was 76 within a month or so of this performance .

My first concert, 1976, 17 yo, outdoors, Colt Park Hartford Conn, full house, 35,000 my gosh, I grew up in Gilford NH now he comes to the 1,000 outdoor venue about every summer, 5 miles away from my house as a teen...yesss 🔥⚒️🌟🎶

One of my very favorite songs of all time! I treasure the time I got to meet Peter Frampton at NAMM. He is fire 🔥 n so cool. They cut the rope off right behind me so I had to talk fast so we could all speak to him. The problem was I spoke so fast he just laughed out loud n said, "What?" Lol 😆 I told him this was one of my most favorite songs along with wind of change days dawning etc. He really has given me many exquisite moments to treasure on life through his music which I am grateful for 🙏😇❤️ BTW, we saw him in PS just a couple of years ago n he is just as good now as he was in the beginning! I cried because I was so happy! His music 🎶 touches my heart ❤️

Oh wow really? That is historic. Frampton is a huge influence on my guitar playing. I've learned so much just watching his style. You can hear the rotating Leslie speaker he uses on his guitar in this song. He doesn't really use it anymore but it gave him that signature sound.
