I always find it funny when people say they're a big fan and then they don't know the basics. Either you're not a big fan or you make too many videos and have lost track. I think it's the second one.

@@Oldmarty Yeah, it makes you wonder if he ever really paid attention to the videos at all. You hear a lot of these reactors throw out the names of members of their favorite bands freely but somehow they all seem to have amnesia on their favorite Japanese bands.

@@raybl9295 There are such and such :) Joel is a nice one. With him I think he does too much. You can sometimes lose track of things. I don't take the word favourite group too seriously. He doesn't even try to pretend that he knows anything about music theory or how to play something. He listens to it and then says whether it's to his taste or not. That's OK. I think that's quite good with the guests.

I get your point Joel, about each performance standing alone and it should widen the audiance...which would be true for a single but this wasn't written for that. it was commissioned as the end theme of an anime. It might well widen their audience but its not anywhere near the most accessible track for a newbee.

The issue wasn't you playing 'their newest song.' The issue was you playing a collaboration song that doesn't have Kanami's full compositional magic, and therefore, doesn't sound like Band-Maid. The response you got from your guest said it all.

2 things - They are NOT a metal band, They ARE a HARD ROCK band. If you don't believe me, ask Miku. This song is an anime song written for an Anime Show. SO it is but isn't a pure Band Maid song. It is going to be a money maker for them Oh by the way Joel there are 5 members of Band Maid.

They dont do bad songs but i found it to be like shambles, a mix of parts of other songs. Waiting for something different. Hopefully, on the new album. The maids could use someone with more creativity as far as the video set.

@Joel: I luv this kind of format and Band Maid is fantastic, BUT like Nightwish, Lovebites, Epica etc a MUST see on their live performances!!! Because they are jaming there, doing f*** awesome solos. Like in "Hate" or "Domination": You DON'T have them in the videos or studio recordings. Just think about that 🙂 If you really want a band which blow you away live AND in their videos - please react to Rammstein. Most insane 🔥live performance ever. "Du hast" Paris live or "Deutschland" official video (best movie of 2019 *lol*. Just to get an idea. 😂 And yes - You NEED them.

I do not agree on your reasoning. Sometimes new tracks are not so good, e.g. like Bestie. That one is not good. Protect You is a good track. Maybe not the easiest to start with though. Its fast and hectic without catchy structure. But, its OK.
