Oh my, Peter Gabriel in the 80's at Earls Court, the whole place chanting Biko, Biko, Biko, Steve Biko... at the end of the concert for about 20 minutes. We couldn't leave. Amazing times. Love Peter Gabriel..

I met a man, Manireho, from Burundi who lost many of his family to the brutal tribal wars. Ten years in a refugee camp he finally was able to come to the US with his bride Esperance. I invited him into my home and for 5+ years he built a life. He is the most Joyous man I have ever met, despite the horrors of his youth. This song reminds me of Mani and his joy of life. No time for the wickedness of the past. On my darkest days I think of Mani and this song brings me to him and others who have known a struggle I've never been pressed with. This song... I visit it often. ☮☮💜💜

The song was written about actress Rosanna Arquette whom he dated for a while. Toto wrote another famous song about her called Rosanna. Check out Shaking The Tree from this concert.

Peter Gabriel is a very talented artist. As were all the people in his former band Genesis. Early '70s Genesis is a trip like no other. Great musicians all.

I so miss the 80's. The diversity in music was amazing. People were a little nicer to each other....accepted and embraced culture. It wasn't perfect...there was still lots of really bad things happening in the world, but music brought people together (Band Aid for example) and the world seemed a little kinder. I hate the world we live in now.

Written by Peter Gabriel. This song was in the movie Say Anything. South Park referred to this song. But was replaced by Shock the Monkey 🐒 Paula Cole is 1 of the backing singers. She quit and started a solo career. Suggested videos 📹: 1 Peter Gabriel sings Shock the Monkey 🐒 2 Paula Cole sings Where Have All the Cowboys 🤠 Gone?

That voice is Lakshminarayana Shankar. The violinist and also the amazing high voice during the concert. He was also the amazing voice in Heroes.

Hi, the low voice is a joke. Basically, it's bassist Tony Levin, who lends his bass voice in the studio version. the joke was to make people believe that it was this little guy (Shankar) who had this voice during the intro of the song.😂
