Oh Ladies Peter Gabriel is a deep and very wide rabbit hole, he was originally the lead singer of Genesis before Phil Collins.His solo career spans decades, ranging in genres from Rock to pop and all types of world music. In Your Eyes was originally on his album "So" and sounds completely different from this world version. I saw this concert at the Worcester Centrum in Mass and you're right this was a real crowd pleasing show one of my favorite shows ever

The lady singing is Paula Cole, and she's not just a fantastic backing singer, but has a number of albums, including "This Fire," which features PG's bass player, Tony Levin (the bald guy in black with white knee pads.) Paula won the "Best new artist" Grammy award. She toured with Peter Gabriel for a number of years.

Since have now discovered Peter Gabriel, you should definitely react to his live version of San Jacinto, one of the best pieces of music he has made, and one of the best live performances you will see from any singer. P.S. Peter Gbariel's first live album "Plays Live" from 1986 is one of the best live albums ever recorded. Fun fact: Peter was a founding member of the Prog Rock group Genesis before he went to persue his solo carreer. Genesis' two first albums, "The Lamb lies down on Broadway" and "Selling England by the Pound" are really, really good.

I saw this live with Youssou N'Dour, who opened for him. First tour he played it. Wow. I think he had N'Dour's whole band the well named Superstars of Senegal on this, doing the choral backup. Biko from that show was beyond belief good.

This was the encore at the end of the concert, I've watched the concert video a few times and have the double CD that I play often. I'd recommend his song "Don't give up" can either be from this concert but the original video is great to.

As has been commented on by others he used to be the lead singer of Genesis and has ever been into 'the performance' (happily he is over the whole wearing a bowl of fruit phase!) If you liked this you will love Solsbury Hill, Sledgehammer and if you want to have a cry, then Biko. In fact I am now going to go and listen to Biko again.

Hi Mark. Although his daughter did begin to perform live with Peter's band in 2003, this film is from his 1993 Secret World tour, promoting his '92 album, "Us". The female singer here was Paula Cole in her first big break. The following year she signed her first major Label deal, released her first album and had a huge hit, "I Don't Want to Wait". This became the theme song for the successful TV series, "Dawson's Creek '.

Was at this gig. In the Round. Peter Gabriel ex Genesis on top form. going out with Kate Bush and all edged affair with Sinaid O’Connor same time. both great artists. I had to leave after 45mins. My mate his GF a got affected by the Lights she fainted. weird experience but one you remember.
