Rebeka ... trust me it was live. I had this live concert on tape back in the days of VHS cassette tape (yes, I'm that old!) and later on I bought the DVD when it became the new (newer) technology. I also was lucky enough to catch his concert for the "So" album tour, and I have to tell you the dance moves with the bass player and synth player were exactly like what you saw. Also, the vocals were as awesome. He probably had a really good sound engineer backstage. It was truly one of the greatest live concerts I have seen. If you think this song was great, I have to tell you there was a song titled "Lay your hands on me" where he dives into the audience backwards, then swims on top of people's hands holding him up all the way to the middle of the crowd and back!! I feel he was really in the prime of his career in the 80's. Great to see you back with reactions!

I can tell you first hand, having seen Peter live twice, London 94 & 2002, he puts on a unforgettable show with the best musicians the world has to offer and most definitely Live. My recommendation for you is check out any performances from the 1992 Secret World tour and you’ll be even more impressed. Well well Rebeka, loving your energy

There's another great live version of Sledgehammer at the 1988 Prince's Trust Rock Gala with an all-star band that includes Midge Ure, Mick Karn, Brian May, Howard Jones and Peter's old Genesis bandmate Phil Collins. Definitely recommended. 😊

Great reaction, one of your best! This was live, Gabriel is known for amazing vocals live while moving about. When I saw him for his "Shock The Monkey" tour, he played on a jungle gym or "monkey bars" for much of the show. i don't get any "country vibes" though.lol.
