I saw you, Pete, in New York City at Madison Square Gardens. Your encore was Biko and the entire audience was energized. Alas, then you and I both did not yet have the grey hairs. You have always been a premier live performer. Some of your works seem prophetic these days though.

Just the best. Huge fan since about 1973 with Genesis and I’ve seen him live on most of his tours. Like Bruce Springsteen I feel we have just grown up together. (Full disclosure: I have about 1% of the musical ability of these incredible people! But still try and play guitar and synths.)

I was eleven then, so I did not 'see' that tour. But I did see 'Genesis' later in the decade, or at least what was left of them and that was without Peter. Then I saw him at Madison Square Gardens some 30 plus years ago. I have always had the Genesis albums of both evolutions and all of Peter Gabriel's works as well. In several formats, actually in both cases. All of which was subsequently stolen a decade ago, so all I have are files now.
