God what a fun performance! Duane could still twang in 2008. Thanks Joe.

Mr. Eddy is one of the nicest gentleman I have ever been blessed to meet. Along with Charlie Gracie, these guys should be an inspiration to so many rude musicians who have not got one eight of their charisma, staying-power or talent.

Superb performance. Seeing Duane Eddy play reminds me of a story my father told me once. When he was a boy, he lived on the South Coast of England and one particular day he was on the promenade and could hear Rebel Rouser playing on transistor radios all along the beach almost echoing with the sound delay from the further radios. Like I said, the power of music to inspire memories and transport you to a long gone time is why I love it so. If I ever get to the USA, it's on my list to visit the museum, Joe.

Joe, my new favorite Peter Gunn arrangement! Duane was surrounded by other legends on that stage and he demonstrated why he belongs there! Randy can BLOW that Sax🎷, perfect accompaniment to the total performance! Thanks for sharing!💫

@@MusiciansHallofFameMuseum Duane Eddy's guitar work on B.J. Thomas "Rock & Roll Lullaby" is perfect! Just like a "fine spice and seasoning"...just the right notes at just the right time! I really enjoy this channel! I was at the inaugural class when the Nashville Cats, Funk brothers, Wrecking Crew, and the Memphis Boys were inducted. VERY special night for a former radio DJ\Songwriter! Thanks you for what you do!

So kool. Just learned of Duane Eddy today. He's amazing. This song has been in numerous movies. And his other music has certainly influenced music that followed, like the Beach Boys Surfin USA via Moovin N Groovin.

Cool stuff!! I think he played on Shot in the Dark too. Fine work on a Henry Mancini classic! Now take the Peter Gunn guitar / bass part Duane is playing and swap it out with Mancini's Baby Elephant Walk and visa versa. Both in F and pretty much the same tempo. Fun stuff to mash up!!

Unfortunately, I was just a few years too young to see Peter Gunn when it was originally broadcast. But check out the series' Wikipedia article, which has some great tidbits in it. For example, the pianist for the band that played the music for the series was none other than John Williams!

Love Duane! Most people don't know that he's a very versatile musician and guitar player, not just "Twangy". There are many, but my personal favorite recording of his is "Daydream". He played it on what kind of sounds like an electric Dobro in a cool jazzy style on his album "The Biggest Twang of Them All" from 1966 kzbin.info/www/bejne/omjRaoywqcSam8k Thank you Duane for all the great music!
