Definitely, the Hales never committed mass murder of a single-family this one one of the reasons love the sow they show how just because the Hales were werewolves didn't make them monsters the humans of the show tend to show the most monstrous natures of any creatures on the show This is why I couldn't help but hate Scott for saying maybe Dereks family got what they deserved it was one of the coldest most callous things I've ever heard there were children in the fire and because he didn't like Derek or Peter thought that was an ok thing to say to Derek’s face of all things

What I love is the show spending entire show run actually evolving Peter's character. He's so damaged by the what happened with his family dying in front of him. He had legitimate brain damage he had legitimate issues going on with his head and his soul. The entire show is him coming back to being a more empathetic person.. and finding his humanity again. Finding out that he has one child left helped that he helped raise Derek also helped Cora coming back also helped. I can see why Scott named him pack protector because Peter is fierce when he loves something or someone. I don't know if you said what you said in all earnest but in truth there isn't anything that he wouldn't do for someone he truly loves or something he truly loves in his mind in the show for the longest time he thought being the pack alpha would protect those he loved . And that's why he was ruthless about getting it or controlling whoever was. by the time the series ends however Peter has come to term with his loss. His place and the fact that he's just happy that he's got some of his family back. being erased and having everything taken away from you will do that. I like the song because it fits him very well and it just shows how much he's changed over the years. I hesitate to say redemption because I don't think he really had to redeem anything I think he just needed to ReDiscover some things inside of him. Much like our favorite demon wolf.

@@christyshultz6443 thank you for writing this out it totally makes sense to me Peter didn't just loose most his family he had to witness it as well he knows what their screams sound like what it smells like when the fire burned them all Him wanting to be alpha makes sense he never wanted to feel that vulnerable ever again He does care for a lot of people but the ones he does you know he will do whatever it takes to ensure their safety
