Peter and Sylar might be closer than Peter thinks after he takes the villain's power - and his hunger.
From Heroes Season 3 Episode 4, "I Am Become Death": Future Claire hunts down Peter (who gains Gabriel's ability and his hunger) in order to save the world. Tracy finds out about her origins while Mohinder learns the side effects of his power. Hiro and Ando try to break out of the Company's prison and have to dig Adam Monroe (David Anders) back up.

i’m still wondering all this time, peter could absorb everybody’s power if they’re within range, why couldn’t he absorb haitian’s power before it could cancel out his. And Haitian couldn’t hold Peter’s dad down for long but he was able to hold down Peter forever when Peter already absorb enough power to be strong like his dad was.

So wrong of the writers to nerf peter's abilities; he had so much potential, If they had done right by the character he could have been a super powered version of the equalizer with sylar serving as his enemy/rival and then complex partner and friend after completing his redemption arc!💯🔥😁😉👍

@ruslanwilson3761 Every penny would have been worth it though and there would have been many more epic seasons with him facing a new challenge every episode while building up to the main storyline arc of that season kinda like what they did with THE MENTALIST! Lol 🔥💯😉👍

Just realised Peter is using 3 or 4 abilities in this scene. Intuitive + empathic + telekineses + mind reading (Matt can’t lift people up only read minds). He’s using them to get an answer to a question by isolating variables that could cause someone to withhold the truth so he can feel what you’re feeling and know if you’re lying and he’s also in your head while trying to see or understand why you think your way is the right way in the event you’re telling the truth. Talk about enhanced. He’s not allowing Nathan to bullshit him this time but wish he used this on his father. He would’ve been able to spot his father lying. With sylars ability his mind reading should be stronger than previous or future iterations

That was just a script to ged rid of the very powerful character in series. You can't have someone with this abilities. People who watched the show would have questioned it same way as you do. This series went down after Peter lost his powers. First chapter was the best.

​@@martin7437exactly why they nerfed him. The best thing they could have done in season 2 (during the writer's strike) I have him be a jack of all trades and a master of none. It was Sylar's job to be the master if he could get his hands on an ability one by one. The show had so much potential. I miss it.

When writers give Peter Intuitive Aptitude, he get less of Super Inteligence and more of the hunger, making this qualifies as Bloatware Syndrome This was more reason I don't mind Peter have his powers stolen by his dad
