Having different opinions is fine. Some people prefer New Order, some people prefer Joy Division. The problem with Morrissey’s different opinions is the xenophobia and racism

The difference is, this anecdote doesn't sound like a recent one, and back then (in the 80s and 90s), Morrissey wasn't racist. It's true that he was accused of racism in around 1992, but that was just the NME trying to get a good scoop - everyone who knew him said it was all lies. PLEASE NOTE, THIS IS NOT ME DENYING THAT MORRISSEY HAS SAID THINGS *THESE DAYS* , I JUST MEAN THAT HE MOST LIKELY WASN'T XENOPHOBIC AT THE TIME OF THE STORY.

@@usandusonly32 Squires has made ONE decent album in the 3 decades the Stone Roses were around - Marr was 23 when he left the Smiths in 1987 - I fully admit he's done nothing of interest since then but his legacy in that band was vast.
