Gosh, I love them so much. Peter's his legacy, he's going to become the next "Iron Man". Tony saw that, he was training and preparing Peter for it, for him to step up and take the torch when he dies. It took a little while, but he's finally stepping up and becoming who he was meant to be.

This makes me incredibly sad yet heartwarmed that Stark really treated Parker like his own son and gave him tough love.
